I have taken Zinc for a number of years.<br />Based on some reviews elsewhere and a "doctor" recommending this particular product on You Tube, I purchased two bottles of Zinc Picolinate 100 mg.<br /><br />Within 72 hours my hands broke out in a severe red rash which quickly spread up my arms in hives. I took an (out-of-date) antihistamine that I had which controlled it, and chalked it hope to a slight food allergy.<br /><br />A day later I took the pill with my dinner. 4 hours later I had to rush to the hospital with both hands, face and neck very red, and a noted tightening in my throat. Fortunately my doctor met me, and immediately gave me an IV of cortisone to offset the effects (we had not known the cause was this drug).<br /><br />Now 24 hours later, they have reduced any food poisoning or allergies and all come down to this compound that somehow had an adverse affect on me. Only later I read on internet of any allergic reactions to this and it was a shopping list of my own reactions. Now taking steroids and antihistamines to flush this out of me and then seeing a specialist to see "why" it occurred but just a warning. This may be great for man y, but like most over-the-counter medications... check FIRST before you take it.

Was looking for 100mg zinc tablets and found these on Amazon. It was difficult to find zinc tablets that were more than 50 mg online. Overall good price for this zinc supplement.
