A true "sleep aid" if there ever was one

I have tried every over the counter sleep aid along with breathing exercises and meditation--this is the only thing that has ever worked in terms of falling and staying asleep. The best part of melatonin is that it ACTUALLY takes you through the STEPS of falling asleep instead of just knocking you out like Unismom or Nyquil (i.e., you actually start to feel yourself shutting down and know it's time to sleep). For someone that has struggled w/ sleeplessnes and the resultant exhaustion from my late-teens and into my mid-20s, melatonin is a time saver and has improved the quality of my sleep dramatically.

These work great

I've been using melatonin for several years (on and off). Some brands work great, others don't seem to work at all for me. I used to take 3mg but then I read that smaller doses (approx. 1/4 to 1/3 of 1 mg) work better for regular use so I started taking these 1mg capsules and the nice thing about them is that I can open them and take an even smaller amount (about .25 mg). I just ordered some liquid melatonin which is supposed to be even easier to take in smaller quantities (just a few drops under the tongue) but it is also more expensive.

Good price for good product

I take melatonin, for sleep, obviously. I used to buy it from my local health food store, but I've had trouble getting the kind I want there. I like the 1 mg dose, because I find taking more makes me really groggy when I wake up. I looked online to find 1 mg, and found these and bought 2 bottles, so they will last me for most of the year. Unlike must supplements, this stuff actually does something, and this brand is good.

WORKS GREAT EVERYTIME

Usually on days off from work I always tend to go to bed at a much later time, so that affects me on a following day when I have to head bed a bit earlier for work during the morning shift at 9AM & it takes a couple hours to finally doze off. So I did some research on an aid that might be able to help me get to sleep when I need to. Initially I tried out 3MG Melatonin which didn't necessarily work well as the dosage might have been a bit much for someone at 20 years of age like me & it also gave me abnormal sleep patterns like only falling asleep for a couple hours, waking up, falling back asleep for 2 hours, waking up, rinse & repeat...<br /><br />So I then purchased a bottle of this swanson 1mg melatonin, i've been taking it ever since the summer of this year & it works well every time I need to head to bed early for work in the morning.<br /><br />What I do is when I need to take some melatonin, I take a cap & open it up & empty out some of the white powder to 3/4 full & then I put the cap back together & swallow it with a glass of water 1 hour before bedtime, 30 minutes prior to bed I get off the PC or finish watching the TV and dim the lights to do an activity like reading that won't affect the mind much to get myself situated into sleeping, I usually tend to take these on a weekly basis but the dosage isn't too bad so they could possibly be consumed daily.<br /><br />Highly recommended.
