GREAT WAY TO GET DAILY COLLAGEN!

I kept reading how collagen is "the glue holds the body together"and I certainly can use its benefits--not only for younger-looking skin, but to help joints that are starting to ache (arthritis runs in my family). THIS collagen dissolve easily and and really has no flavor, so I add a scoop to my coffee every morning I LOVE that this product doesn't come from China or some other country with unknown quality, so I'm making it a part of daily routine.

I'm a fan!

I've been using this product for 4 months now and the most obvious change has been my eyebrows. I only wish I had taken a before picture, but as a 63 year old who was diagnosed with breast cancer 4+ years ago and underwent numerous surgeries and treatment, I had very sparse eyebrows. They are now fuller than they have been in many years, even pre-cancer, and I actually have to shape them. My head hair is also growing in much fuller as well. Unlike reviews of other collagen products, I detect zero odor or taste. I put it in my coffee every morning and it dissolves easily.

Dissolves very well, but price a bit high per ounce

About a three months ago, I was offered a free 16oz jar of Three Arrows Collagen Peptides for review via the Amazon Vine Program, and I accepted.

I've been using various brands of collagen peptides for over three years - mostly type I & III. I can't be 100% clinically certain, but collagen peptides seem to have done a lot of good for the health of my gut - so I'm definitely a fan.

The Three Arrows Collagen Peptides arrives in a resealable 16oz plastic jar. I prefer plastic jars over bags for collagen peptides as they offer the easiest, fuss-free usage as collagen peptides go airborne very easily. There is a fairly standard plastic serving scoop in the jar.

This is a type I & III collagen peptides powder. According to the label, it is made from grass fed, pasture raised cattle. According to the Q & A section, they are from Brazil, which is a common source for many collagen peptides supplements. There is, unfortunately, no information as to where the product is actually manufactured.

Probably unlike most people who add collagen peptides to liquid for consumption, such as coffee, I tend to add them directly to my meals whenever possible. However, for the purpose of this review, I tested this Three Arrows Collagen Peptides in both hot and cold liquids. It dissolved as quickly as some of the fastest dissolving peptides I've used in the past, such as [[ASIN:B00XQ2XGAA Sports Research]] or [[ASIN:B07BL69CD2 Orgain]]. Like most collagen peptides, it dissolves notably faster in hot liquids than cold. In my experience, all unflavored collagen peptides add at least some very subtle flavor, usually similar to a very, very weak salt. Contrary to it's claims, this is no exception. Depending on what you put it in, you may or may not be able to detect it, if that matters to you.

In all honesty, I tend to purchase the cheapest collagen peptides I can per ounce and stock up when I see sales. There are huge price differences between various brands and aside from differences in they way they dissolve, I seriously doubt there is much actual difference in the efficacy at different price points when compared with other type I & III peptides. I am willing to pay a higher price for the more complete type I, II, III, V & X peptides. I try to get certified grass fed whenever possible and would never purchase *any* labelled to have *anything* to do with China. Ingredients from Brazil are okay, but the USA is preferred.

As of the time of this review, this Three Arrows Collagen Peptides is on the high side of what I consider to be a reasonable price for a type I & III collagen peptides supplement at $1.62 per ounce. I've seen some good type I & III collagen peptides that I've used for as low as $1.09/ounce. I've seen others at well over $2/ounce and higher. Based on the price and how well it dissolves, I'd give this four stars. But note that there are some EXCELLENT, more complete type I, II, III, V & X peptides supplements that come in at less per ounce than this type I & III supplement.

to get improvement from the inside instead

One of my exercise friend who also happens to be a dentist suggested I started taking this powder. I was using some stuff on my face to help me not age so much! I'm in my 40s. I had never thought about taking the powder but she made a good point. She said what I put on my face is just all external. If I really want to make a difference thats more long term, I need to work within. She said she takes the powder every day. She just puts its in her exercise water bottle. Just a scoop and then forget about it. I don't know if I notice a diference? But then again, I guess the idea is NOT to get older so you want things to stay the same? I am not getting more wrinkles so maybe that's the point? I am going to continue it and see when I finish the whole thing if I see any difference. For now, I think it is working fine and I have no issues with the taste or anything.

Like this product

I like that this product dissolves quickly and is basically tasteless. Can mix it in anything.

Not what I was looking for.

It didn’t help with my skin, it still upset my GI tract. I added it to my coffee in the morning.
