contains LANOLIN!

I guess I wouldn't be mad if it had just said somewhere on this page that these vitamins contain lanolin. I would not have ordered them if I knew that, and now I have to find out how to return them.

They ARE vegetarian. Visit their website.

These vitamins are vegetarian. The website and the package lists the ingredients. Here is what the website says:
Q. In your Yummi Bear® products that are vegetarian, what source does the pectin come from?
A. Yummi Bears® Vegetarian formulas are made with pectin from fruit and are vegetarian approved. They do not contain any gelatin product.
Visit their website at[...].
HOWEVER - THE OMEGA 3/6/9 Vegetarian source vitamins ARE NOT vegetarian. The Omega source is vegetarian, but the vitamin itself is made with gelatin. Stupid, but true. Either way, THE MULTI-VITAMIN & MINERAL VEGETARIAN product IS vegetarian. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years and I give these to my children, and they love them.

Just about over Amazon

Caused the worse allergic reaction I've ever seen.... my 1 year old son started with a slight shortness of breath, the hives and fever came the next day. After a few oatmeal baths it began to dry out, only to have his entire body shed a layer or two of skin. Hands and feet peeled like a molting snake. I'd like to think is just a bad reaction but I've have 3 too many bad reactions to product purchased on Amazon... I'm beginning to question the seller and the product.

This product does contain GMOs.

I love this company, but this product not so much. The reason being is this product does contain GMOS. Statement I received from the company. "The Yummi Bears Vegetarian Calcium + Vitamin D3 is not certified as GMO free, which means it contains GMO ingredients or derivatives."

Decent product, but not actually vegetarian

I picked up these and another type of calcium chew in the hope of getting more Ca into my picky ASD son. He wanted nothing to do with these for nine months or so, but now eats them readily.

Commercially-available D3 is made from lanolin or other animal products, so the description of them as "vegetarian" is in accurate. I reluctantly give them to my son anyway for lack of a viable alternative.

SOUR Vitamin

They arrived quick and with good packaging. All of the seals on the container and box were good and intact. My kids were excited to try them and we opened them right up. They looked great and had a slight sugary coating, but nothing extreme. Then the taste.....somewhere while researching through what vitamin to buy I did not realise that these are SOUR vitamins and minerals. I went and looked at my order in case I bought the wrong one........ nope! So I went back and read through the product info to figure out what I missed. Apparently not much, since that is not written out anywhere that I found easily. The one place I did found it was if you look VERY carefully at the product picture, in small print on the bottom right hand corner it does say sour. My family does not like sour anything and these have quite the pucker factor to them. So we were sad about it :( So I guess for now we will stick to the Smarty Pants vitamins. But if you like sour this vitamin is for you!
