Unfortunately, only after purchasing did I discover that this product in 2011 tested high for lead by Consumerlab.com. They also reported that the company's response to this was highly misleading and that the lead levels in Algaecal is higher than most foods and other calcium supplements. Though not by itself, enough to be a problem. Also the mfg says the product is certified USDA organic. However there is no stamp on the label to that effect. Strange.

Just returned from my 3rd bone density scan, and am ecstatic! First one 3 years ago showed osteopenia in hip, spine, legs. Second one, 2 years later, showed full blow osteoporosis in all 3. I did NOT want to take any of the very dangerous (IMO) pharmaceuticals that treat bone loss, so consulted with my gynecologist, who recommended Algaecal. I ordered the same day and began using it along with Strontium. Scheduled a 1 year follow up to see if there was any improvement, and discovered that the osteoporosis has completely reversed itself, and all tests were in the normal range. The bone density tech said she had never seen so much improvement in one year. I cannot recommend this product enough.

I like the supplement, but I have found it for half the price elsewhere.

I read about this "miracle product" as a potential solution to bone health problems and decided to give it a try. Took one pill early in the day and everything seemed okay. Took another pill in the evening. In the middle of the night, I woke up feeling very hyper, which was highly unusual. My blood pressure was elevated, and my resting heart rate was beating 35 beats faster than normal. There is something about this product that does not agree with my body. Spent the next day feeling VERY uncomfortable, but felt better by the following evening. It seemed like once the product had been flushed out of my system, everything returned to normal. However, the reaction was frightening, and I will not take this product ever again. A complete waste of a lot of money, and I have no idea WHY it affected me this way.

I had been diagnose with osteoporosis last couple of years in my spine, and beginning of osteoporosis in my hip. I had another bone density test performed after one year of tacking AlgeaCal Plus jointly with 2,000 of vitamin D and 500 of magnesium and my results were incredible. No osteoporosis found. I highly recommend this treatment
