Go with Vital Proteins Marine Collagen instead

I had a chance to try both Further Food and Vital Proteins marine collagen and the decision on which one was better was almost instantaneous. While the Further Food marine collagen is more finely ground, I found myself having to stir and stir to get it to dissolve. Vital Proteins looks grittier when scooping it out, but it seriously just dissolves with the addition of hot water. By the time I get my stir stick out, it's already dissolved. The other major difference is the flavor. They both smell the same, but the difference between the taste is night and day. I can definitely taste the Further Food marine collagen in my drink. It alters the flavor of the drink, and not in a good way. However, I cannot taste Vital Proteins marine collagen at all, which makes the daily ritual of adding collagen to my diet much easier. Finally, the quantity in the jars was substantially different. The Further Food jar (6.5 oz) was about half full. The Vital Proteins jar (7.8 oz) was almost full to the top. I know the net weights are different and it's not a fair comparison, but I just felt like I was getting more for my money with Vital Proteins based on a visual comparison. I will say that I stayed consistent and used Further Food for a full 30 days before permanently switching over to Vital Proteins. I did notice a difference in my skin with Further Food - it just looked much more radiant and clear. So I do believe it's a good quality collagen. I just could not get past the taste and how it altered the flavor of the drink. But If you're like me and trying to determine which marine collagen to go with, hands down Vital Proteins!

Helped With Inflammation and Workout Recovery

I purchased the Further Food Marine Collagen because I've been reading about the benefits of a collagen supplement for inflammation and those pesky things like those lines that keep popping up on my face (especially for those of us who are over 30 ;-) ). We are a pescatarian family and therefore can only use supplements which are plant or marine derived. Further Food's Marine Collagen delivers on the promises of helping with inflammation! I have a rotator cuff injury which was been plaguing me for several months. I am very active and it was hard to rest it but I did and it didn't help. I refuse to take anti-inflammatory drugs and tried so many naturopathic remedies to no avail. My physical therapist was about to give me cortisone shots! Once I started on Further Food's Marine Collagen, my pain lessened to a level where I could use my left shoulder again. Within 2 weeks, my pain is nearly gone. I think that the amino acids in the collagen helped to reduce the inflammation in my shoulder as well as help me recover quicker after the more intense workouts.

I should note the following:
1. I take two servings each day. Once I have no more pain, I will decrease to one serving per day.
2. The collagen doesn't taste good (at all, even though they say it is tasteless) so I mix it into my coffee to mask it.
3. It does not dissolve in cold liquids so you need to add it to something hot!

I haven't noticed much difference in my hair, skin or nails except for the fact that my skin seems to have a more "fresh" appearance on my face. I will update if I notice any other changes!

LOVE this collagen

My husband and I have been using Further Food Collagen for about a year and a half, and I have seen amazing benefits from taking it daily. The quality of the marine collagen is superior, and it dissolves instantly in both hot and cold beverages. There is no taste at all, and you can use it in anything from coffee to soups to smoothies.

My hair is shinier, grows faster and is stronger. My nails grow like weeds (very annoying when I have a manicure!!) and as a recovering biter they break less often then before I was using collagen. I have also seen an improvement in my skin, most notably my face. I also use the marine collagen to help recover from workouts, and it made a big difference while I was recovering from a back injury.

I definitely recommend Further Food Marine Collagen, and any of the FF products!

NO TASTE OR SMELL FOR ME

I can attest that for ME, this product has absolutely no effect on the taste or smell of the beverage I put it in. Before trying it, the thought of putting anything "fishy" into my coffee made me gag. But because I could detect no odor in the canister, I stirred a scoop into my morning coffee. It dissolved fairly well, just a couple of small clumps I had to squish against the side of the cup before adding whole cream. Next day, I put the scoop into my cup first, poured in a couple ounces of hot coffee, used my frother [www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BKA11B0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1] in the cup, then filled it the rest of the way with coffee before adding cream. No clumps, no grit, no detectable taste. Perfection. (Hint: do NOT use the frother in a full cup. You WILL be sorry, lol.)

I've been using this product for less than 2 weeks. I hope to (remember to) update at 1 and month and thereafter with observations about any physical benefits I'm noting.

Just what we needed!

This is perfect! Love that its wild caught fish.
Also great they don't add any weird chemicals and artificial flavors! Really a great product!
It does taste fishy but thats normal since its comes from fish =P Will be buying this again!

Game changer

Further Food marine collagen peptides are amazing! First off, unlike many of the other marine peptides I have tried, these are odorless and completely tasteless! I add a scoop into my morning coffee or a water bottle and stir/shake to dissolve them! After using this for just a week I already see a difference in my skin and hair! My hair is fuller and really shiny and my skin looks brighter too! I also recently tried the new goopGenes marine collagen peptides and although they have beautiful packaging the taste was sooo bad - I could not even finish 1 serving! This is a total game changer for my wellness routine.
