Sweet baby jesus

Before you take this powder you must ask yourself very important question: Do I have to do anything today that involves me being far away from the crapper? If the answer no then take a teaspoon of this stuff in the morning. Be prepared. Drink lots lots of water because your a$$ is going to turn into a fire hydrant. This is worse than Indian food but not spicy. Billy needs a ride to a friend's house? Tell Billy to get lost because you are going to crap any second now. Make sure that you are playing a radio or something because it sounds nasty as hell. 1 teaspoon! That's all it takes to get rid of the remnants of the McDonald's cheeseburger that you ate in 1997. This 250 grams will last a lifetime.

Super healthy, reduce body acidity, great quality and price. Make your own Magnesium Bicarbonate with this!

I like many have read the amazing health benefits of consuming Magnesium, specifically Magnesium Bicarbonate (Google it). You can buy premixed supplements or buy straight Mmagnesium Bicarbonate but you'll be paying significantly more. If you're a wise consumer, you'll buy this Magnesium Hydroxide and easily make your own Magnesium Bicarbonate at home. Why? It detoxifies you, oxygenates your blood and brings PH balance. This is basically a strong electrolyte, minerals needed for proper hydration.

The product itself seems top quality and very pure. You get a lot for the money and will last for a very long time. All supplements are suggested to be taken in powder form vs pills. All Pure Balks products seem top quality and some of the best deals to be found.

How to make Magnesium Bicarbonate Concentrate:
1. Get 1 liter of regular Seltzer Water (refrigerated)
2. Weigh out 3.6 grams of Magnesium Hydroxide. (About 1 teaspoon if scale not available)
3. Without shaking the bottle, gently open it. Quickly pour in the Magnesium Hydroxide. Quickly close and shake thoroughly.
4. Place bottle in fridge for 30 mins for the Magnesium Hydroxide to react with the CO2 in the seltzer.
5. Take it out after 30 mins and shake one last time. Let it settle in the fridge for another 30 mins and it's ready for consumption.

The Magnesium Hydroxide reacts with the CO2 in the seltzer and creates Magnesium Bicarbonate. You will see the seltzer bottle cave in, signaling that the reaction is working (towards the end). You may adjust how much Magnesium Hydroxide you use, you will know you're using too much because you will see white sediments at the bottom of the bottle (this is un-reacted Magnesium Hydroxide). Also the brand of Soda/Seltzer you use, as well as other factors will determine the amount of Magnesium Hydroxide you need to use. Some brands carbonate more and thus more Magnesium Hydroxide can be used. Not to worry if you put in too much and you see white sediment at the bottom, it is not bad for you - it just creates a laxative effect. You may use this Magnesium Bicarbonate concentrate 1-2 8 ounce glasses a day, or preferably create a diluted solution for all day drinking.

How to make diluted solution to drink all day:
1. Measure out 11 ounces or 1/3 liter from the Concentrate (1/3 of bottle).
2. Add 3.5 liters of your drinking water (Preferably distilled or filtered)
3. Combine the two to make 1 Gallon of drinking water. You can consume this in 1 day.

This concentrate would make about 10-11 liters of drinking water. I personally make a healthy Gallon drinking jug every day. Start with clean distilled water I add Magnesium Bicarbonate, Potassium Gluconate, fresh lemons, Chia seeds, Pinch of Sea salt.

Great as a component for magnesium bicarbonate

I have been supplementing magnesium after realizing that its lack has probably caused some buildup of calcium in my coronary arteries (magnesium keeps calcium dissolved so it does not deposit in the arteries). The main oral form I have been using is magnesium glycinate. Now I have added the hydroxide form, not to take as is but as a component of magnesium bicarbonate.
To understand the benefits of Mag Bicarb, it is suggested to do a Google search or just go to mgwater.dot.com.

There is a simple formula to make Mag Bicarb that is available on the internet.

Basically, all you need is a liter of seltzer water (around 89 cents for the store brand) and a one-gallon container to hold the finished product.

1) Refrigerate a one-liter bottle of seltzer water.
* 2) Measure 3.6 grams (3600 milligrams) of magnesium hydroxide. If you don't have a scale, then estimate approx. .86 of a teaspoon, somewhere between 3/4 and a whole teaspoon.
3) Slowly unscrew the cap of the seltzer water so as not to release too much of the fizz.
4) Slowly pour the measured magnesium into the bottle. It will fizz a bit but will not bubble out.
5) Replace the cap tightly and shake the bottle vigorously for 30 seconds, then place back in the refrigerator.
6) Wait 30 minutes, then shake the bottle again.
7) When the process is done, the sides of the bottle will collapse inward somewhat. The resulting mag bicarb has no fizz at all (as flat as juice) since all the carbonation has gone into the magnesium.
8) The liter of mag bicarb is a concentrate and should not be consumed as is; it will make 3 gallons of drinkable mag bicarb.
9) Add one third of a liter (approx 11 ounces) of the concentrate to one gallon of a filtered or distilled water (tap water has chlorine and fluoride and may affect the final mix).
10) You may drink the resulting mag bicarb final mix for health benefits. It is a highly assimilable form of magnesium as well as a general alkalizer (The ph is around 8). It tastes pretty good, too.

* Update: (05/28/2015) - Not sure how my measurement on Step #2 was so far off. I weighed the actual Magnesium Hydroxide from Bulk Supplements today and a teaspoon came to 1.9 grams. So the actual dose per bottle should be two (2) teaspoons. This is slightly over the 3.6 grams that is recommended on the internet formula, but under the maximum amount of 4.0 grams that another reviewer mentioned could be absorbed. In the worse case there might be a little powder at the bottom of the bottle. That's nothing to worry about. Also, suggest you use a measuring scoop rather than an actual teaspoon and make sure it is level.using the edge of a knife or similar straight edge.

So I decided the best way to solve this problem is to make the ...

I have had a hard time keeping a sufficient amount of magnesium and potassium in my body every day....and I don't believe that the encapsulated supplements were being absorbed because I didn't experience any benefits.
So I decided the best way to solve this problem is to make the MAG-WATER that people were raving about. I have been using BULK SUPPLEMENTS for about a year now and I have not been disappointed by any of the products I have purchased from them. I ordered BULK SUPPLEMENTS MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE to use for the MAG WATER and it turned out perfectly. BULK SUPPLEMENTS magnesium hydroxide dissolved quickly and easily and I also used POTASSIUM BICARBONATE in my MAG WATER. I felt noticeable changes right away and all I have to do is carry a bottle of water with me! The BULK SUPPLEMENT brand products have made a big difference in my health and how I feel.....something that bottles and bottles of encapsulated supplements have not done for me.

Works great for bad BO

I made a homemade deodorant using this and it works pretty good. My recipe needs a little tweeking but this stuff works. I've use milk of mag. in the past with bad results and thought this would probably be the same, its not!! No more salt roll on for me, or irritating baking soda. you can make your own deodorant using a little oil of your choice, and a butter or two (avoid cocoa butter though because it really clogs pores). And use plenty of this and some kind of clay and tapioca starch and you got a great deodorant, also some essential oils.

Makes a very effective deodorant.

I actually bought this to make my own deodorant and couldn't be happier with the results. The magnesium hydroxide I received from this company is as soft and fine as talcum powder, and the deodorant I made with it works really well without causing any irritation to the skin of my underarms, even after shaving. For what its worth, I mix enough of the magnesium hydroxide with some babassu oil in order to make a soft, easily spreadable paste, which I apply to my underarms with my fingertips. To keep things fresh, I only make enough of the deodorant at a time to fit in a small jar I keep in my bathroom, which gets used up in about 1 week before I need to make more. In case anyone is wondering, my homemade deodorant lasts all day and though the night on me with only 1 application, and it does not stain any of my shirts or blouses.
