I take this Vitamin A regularly because I have had weight loss surgery and do not absorb vitamin A. It is the correct type of "dry A", as opposed to the one which is in oil. Based on my lab work, this A keeps my level where it needs to be.

Beware. This is a synthetic form of vitamin A and at this dosage, 1 capsule, if taken frequently, can be very toxic. It happened to me. I took this as 1 capsule 3 times a week over a period of a few months and developed serious toxicity. After researching it, this strength and type of vitamin A should not be sold without large print warnings. Any retinol type of Vitamin A and especially in dry form such as this powder in capsule form (vs an oil form) is even more potent and likely to cause toxicity (liver disease, skin and hair disorders, etc.). Amazon and Bio Tech should have a warning to consumers about the potential for toxicity of this and other fat-soluble vitamins in strengths beyone 100% recommended daily intake.

This is a special form of vitamin A (dry), hard to find in this dosage. I am very satisfied with all Biotech Vitamins.

I take a lot of these vitamins and until recently was ordering them from another company. Once I saw they were available on Amazon and they are the dry version of vitamin A I started to order them. I have been a repeat purchaser of these vitamins and I have not had any issues with my labs. BioTech is a trusted vitamin maker for a lot of the dry vitamins I take. The pills themselves are little yellow capsules, they are very easy to swallow and have not taste.
