Magnesium L Threonate Vegan Capsules for Migraine

This review is for the formula with vegan capsules, pictured. Note: the current batch (~February 2019) is gelatin capsules, but I received a wonderful message from the company that they are returning to vegetable capsules! If you have migraine and you're cutting out triggers, check your supplements for gelatin! Many of us are sensitive to the glutamates in gelatin.

I first found this supplement from The Dizzy Cook blog. I love this supplement! I take the suggested serving 1 capsule in the morning to help clear up brain fog (a daily symptom of migraine). I've tried a lot of Magnesium Threonate formulas and this was the one I felt a noticeably clearer mind. This brand is affordable and a clean formula. A lot of supplements don't have enough magnesium or have fillers. Can't wait the order another bottle of the vegan capsules!

One to keep on hand. Look for the Magtein brand.

I've purchased Mag Threonate in the past as supplied by other companies, Teraputics being only the most recent. From what you'd gather in reading the other reviews this product is the go-to for restless nights. My theory is that excessive wear and tear from stress(or in my case drug use) can lead to gradually diminishing levels of Magnesium as it, in addition to a plethora of other important biological functions, is used in maintainging nerve integrity. Given that Magnesium can be challenging to get in adequate amounts from the food we eat, let alone in a readily available form, finding a way to top of the tank so-to-speak when its levels are getting low is vital in staving off the worse symptoms of deficiency. I believe, anyhow. What brings me back time and time again to this product, and most recently this supplier, are those occasional restless nights that to me signify a mild deficiency has developed. I take most if not the entire dose at night as opposed to taking some earlier on in the day as doing so, ive noticed, can cause me to feel a bit lethargic, though with a notable improvement to the amoothness of my movements. Also this company does indeed offer another bottle as thanks, though this bares little on me writting this review right now. Having taken many supplements in the past, many of which affected me little if at all, this product consistently has stood out for its effectiveness. Maybe that doesn't apply to everyone, but most people I've given this to have remarked that it has improved sleep quality in some factors. For me a much deeper, more relaxed sleep and sometimes even, a more 'snappy' return to alertness upon awakening. Always look for Magtein on the label.

4 pills for less elemental magnesium??

I was about to purchase another bottle when I saw the picture that said 4 pills for only 144mg of elemental magnesium! I refuse to take FOUR pills to get 25-30% of the daily value. The old bottle was one pill for 108mg. They claim the formula is better, but I like the old formula. It's the reason I purchased to begin with. I don't need the name brand "Magtein" to be on my bottle. I'll be purchasing elsewhere.

Works pretty quickly

I guess how quickly it works well differ for everyone but after just a few days I see a difference in my memory. I have PTSD, brain injury and anxiety. I'll keep taking and buying and I doubt it's placebo cuz I tried fish oil and Acyetyl L-Carnitine and it didn't help as much. Very nice product! Thank you!

Excellent results

My functional medicine doc wanted me to increase my magnesium intake. In researching the best bioavailable form of magnesium, I found out about L-Threonate. I already use the glycinate form for sleep and I have used the taurate form with cardio benefits in the past. I was excited to learn of threonate’s ability to cross the blood/brain barrier, but I didn’t expect such remarkable results so quickly. I have noticed an increase in my energy level and my brain feels more alert and engaged. I’m very pleased thus far and will buy again.

Very Tolerable for those with MTHFR polymorphisms.

All supplements are too strong for me so I split your L-Threonate into thirds. To my surprise I’m able to, so far, tolerate this dosage 2 times a day! I may even be able to take more in the evening, but I have to be careful not to build up an intolerance, I have the double C677T gene mutation and intolerances rule my life. Do you do other magnesiums.? So I can take them in rotation and stave off the inevitable for a few years? I really need an excipient free Calcium-Magnesium Butyrate Made without Sunflower Oil as I have a ragweed allergy that sunflower mimics. Something like Hemp Seed Oil and Nitrogen as the preservative. Taking in rice all the time is not good. I will build up an intolerance to it in time. And, yes. To the Hemp Oil, too. Hard to win in this race!
