Finally- a great creamy smoothie for people with cow's milk allergies
I love this protein powder!! (I do have a high powered blender, though, so mixing is not an issue for me.) I've been looking for years to find a protein powder that tastes good and isn't whey, since I'm inconveniently allergic to milk. The vegetarian and vegan powders are gritty and hard to choke down. It's rare to find a protein powder that isn't loaded with extras- vitamins, probiotics, inulin/chickory fiber, etc. (Come on people!! fiber + protein = smelly gas.) And it's almost impossible to find one that isn't flavored or sweetened with stevia, acesulfame K, or sucralose, etc. Ugh. I hate the cloying aftertaste of artificial sweeteners, so the unflavored PurePaleo is the way to go! I'm free to add whatever flavors I want, and the shakes are creamy and have great mouthfeel. Now if someone could just figure out how to make seedless raspberries, my smoothies would be perfect.

Didn't upset my GI
I have IBS and protein powders upset my tummy. Plus I eat Paleoish, Most protein powders use sugar AND splenda! I have tried to like Stevia, but usually don't. This did not have a bad stevia taste. I got the chocolate flavor. It has a little bit of a coffee/cuppucino flavor to me. You do not taste the beef at all. I read up that it does not blend on its own so you need to use a stick blender. I just used a shaker cup with a shaker ball.

Also I take hydrolized collagen for my gut but always forget my second dose. So I can kill two birds with one stone.

A protein powder that doesn't upset my tummy without all of the artificial ingredients I loathe-Yay!

High quality, delicious protein powder
I have been using this protein powder in my morning smoothie for about a year now, after first hearing Chris Kresser mention the product in his podcast. I just wasn't hungry in the mornings and I knew I needed a way to start my day with some good calories (i.e. protein and fat, minimal carbs). Add to that an intolerance to dairy protein (the problem for me is really casein, but I also wanted to avoid whey if possible), and this powder was exactly what I needed.

It took some fiddling with the smoothie recipe, but now it consistently blends well with the other ingredients. If you try to mix it with just water, it's quite possible that you get the "soup" with chunks of protein floating around. It tastes okay that way but doesn't really look appetizing. The trick is to add some fat to the mix - MCT oil is what I use, along with a couple raw eggs. Then maybe a super greens kind of supplement (chocolate flavored works best with this vanilla protein powder) and occasionally some unmodified potato starch (resistant starch!). Then I blend in the Magic Bullet. It's actually super tasty, and now I look forward to 'breakfast' every morning.

Yes, the price is pretty steep, but this is high quality stuff. And one canister will last several weeks of daily use. I use a dose and a half (i.e. 3 tablespoons) each morning, and I get about 3 weeks of smoothies out of it. If you only use the standard dose, there are 30 servings per canister. 27g (1 serving) of high quality protein for breakfast every morning for a month for ~$80 = $2.66 per breakfast. That's downright affordable.

Won’t Sidestep Quality
It was recommended by my brother who owned a health gym. They served/sold the product there, and it received rave reviews. After my mother and I were in a severe car accident in 2016, she was at 86 years of age at that time, her recovery required protein enrichment in her diet. She had lost 18 inches of her lower bowel and wore a colostomy for 9 months. Even after the reversal, she stuck with Paleo Protein Powder because it aided in her healing then, and she continues to see its positive effects as she continues to use it now. She declares her love for the drink, and as her daughter who has witnessed the regained strength, I do, too!

Best protein powder!!
I struggle with many food allergies from celiac complications, candida, etc. this protein powder is by far the best tasting hypoallergic protein on th market. I have tried so many that left a gritty earthy taste. This powder mixes well in water or coconut milk and the best part is no bloat anymore! I tell everyone I can to switch to this! The vanilla tastes just as good as th chocolate which is rare as well. I will continue to keep buying!!

Someone said "it tastes like beef" and I have NO idea what they are ...
Delicious. Someone said "it tastes like beef" and I have NO idea what they are talking about. It's made from beef but I'm shocked that it tastes nothing remotely gamy at all! It's just like any whey or casein I've ever had and mixes really nicely. It's pricy but as far as I know, it's the only protein powder that isn't why, nor is vegetarian (can be hard for those on low FODMAP diets). My only wish is that the company would state whether or not the beef is grass fed/grass finished. it just states that the beef is from Sweden. Still worth it in my view.
