Too Much Iron
Unless consulting a healthcare provider, do not take vitamin and mineral supplements. It is not a good idea to take full doses of multivitamins without consult.

That being said, if you do take vitamins, be careful to review the amounts of fat soluble vitamins and minerals in your daily multivitamin. I use MyFitnessPal to track all my food and vitamin intake off and on just to make sure I'm on track. Its free and it can give you insight into the essential vitamins.

The iron content in this vitamin is 100%. If you eat at all during the day, you are likely to consume Iron. If you eat red meat or leafy green veggies at least once a day while taking this vitamin, you are taking yourself over your daily recommended iron. Long term exposure to excessive amounts of iron can cause liver damage, to say the least.

You'll notice they do only give you about 20% of your daily allowance of Calcium, probably because they assume you will consume the rest through milk, cheese, leafy greens, ect. Why can't they assume that about my iron or put a label on their product stating it is for women with iron deficiencies?

Personally, I take half of one of these a day along with some other water soluble supplements to make sure I'm not taking in too much iron and vitamin A.
