Muscle Cramps?

For years, I used to wake up in the middle of the night with pain in one or both of my legs. My muscles cramped so tightly, my foot twisted, and sometimes my toes twisted. Sometimes the pain pulsed, or came in waves. Sometimes standing up helped.

I tried calcium and several kinds of magnesium. Calcium made them worse. Magnesium helped. I read somewhere that magnesium oxide was often the most effective form, in general. I like the Carlson brand because they use minimal ingredients.

I've been taking this Carlson Magnesium for a year or so. As long as I take one capsule with a meal twice every day, I have no leg cramps ever. When I take 3 capsules, it acts as a laxative.

These are large softgels, but they are smooth. I make sure it is wet before I swallow it, to make sure it slides down.

I hope this helps you make a decision about whether to buy this product.

Great product keeps me moving.

I take meds that slow down my system. I have a slow system to begin with and need more time to prepare for medical test that require clean out or similar. Carlson’s Liquid mag is a product I wouldn’t survive without. Easy on my stomach no after taste, and no problem regulating how much to take with my meds. If there is a negative I haven’t found it. I guess the gels at large, I don’t have a problem swallowing them, they slide right down with just a little liquid. This is a good price. I wish I could find them wholesale by the case but for now this is my best price.

magnesium that works

Something about it being liquid in a softgel maybe but they absolutely work. I have ailments and did not expect this to do the job but remarkably it has. When I don't take it, I can certainly tell. It's easy to skip taking it by mistake because it works so well I forget about my ailments until they rear their ugly heads.

I take 2 per day to meet my needs and absolutely recommend this product.

It's difficult to rate this

It is said that magnesiun can help to relax your muscles. So, having fibrmyalgia, I thought I'd give it a try... I'll try almost anything! Unfortunately, I can't say that I feel any difference. I did stop taking them after a while so I may as well start again and finish the bottle. I couldn't hurt, right? Also, the liquid softgels are more readily absorbed by the body, so that's a good thing. I REALLY WANT TO GET WELL... I'M SO SICK & TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED! I've been in severe pain for 10 years, and ya know, it really puts a damper on one's life! PLEASE PRAY FOR ME IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE! It would be so greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Kat

Titanium Dioxide Added

I really liked this supplement, and it worked well, however I just noticed it contains TITANIUM DIOXIDE. Titanium dioxide is
a very controversial additive. One source said it may cause the immune system to be compromised. A Canadian study showed
it might cause brain damage. I was very disappointed to see this, and will find another company that does not use this additive.

Preferred Magnesium Supplement

I first bought this at the Vitamin Shoppe. But when I finish the bottle I'll be getting it from Amazon. It is the best magnesium supplement I've taken so far. And I've tried many. Magnesium is used in over 200 different enzyme processes. So the reference books tell me. It also assists the B vitamins in performing their functions. Magnesium is a muscle relaxant which helps with cramps of all kinds. Magnesium also alkalyzes the body. As it relates to me it helps with gout as it helps neutralize the uric acid, a byproduct of metabolic processes.
So many of the reviewers complain that these softgels are big. I had to laugh at that. They are not big. They are about half the size of a lecithin capsule. Now those are BIG.
