Truly nasty taste, but this liquid is the best way to intake magnesium!
Be prepared- magnesium is almost the worst tasting stuff you will ever try to intake!!! However, I am an RN so I know this: it is almost impossible to get extra magnesium into your system from dry vitamin tablets (for many reasons). So this is the best way to take in magnesium (to fight leg cramps and for other reasons), even though I'll warn you: liquid sublingual magnesium tastes like highly concentrated BITTER metalasized salt- horrid! Here's what I do now, after trial and error, to be able to take this: I tried mixing it with other things (honey, syrup, etc) and that didn't work (just made me want to vomit!). Finally now I just drop it (straight up!) under my tongue, swallow and then quickly follow with a chewable Vit C tab. That immediately erases the foul taste effectively and life goes on...! Good luck, this is the right product to take but it will take some getting used to!!!

It worked better than coffee for me......
I drink distilled water and need extra minerals, I add this to my water and makes a huge difference. This stuff came timely and was a great deal, I have bought several bottles so far. I heal faster after I use this stuff And I feel hydrated after mixing it with water first thing in the morning. i feel energy in the morning if I use it with atleast two glasses of water. works better than coffee for me. Anyway If this was helpful could you please click the helpful button so I know these reviews are worth writing. Thank you.

Most effective oral magnesium supplement.
It's weird to leave 5 stars for a product that is horrific tasting. Yes it is horrific - the taste is negative 8,000 stars. But this isn't supposed to taste good. It's supposed to be an effective magnesium supplement - and on that note it is superb. I'm not a scientist or doctor, so this is based on what I have read, what my doctor has told me, and what I have experienced. Magnesium is very difficult for the body to absorb and therefore many people may be magnesium deficient (if you suffer from chronic migraines, look into this). Traditional tablet supplements supposedly aren't absorbed by the body as well as this in liquid form. Even in liquid form, the body still has a hard time absorbing (the most effective is a Magnesium IV - which most people will never get). I do feel a difference with this liquid supplement vs pills.
So man-up or woman-up, and push through the terrible taste to get the benefits of more magnesium. You never get used to the taste, but it becomes less traumatic over time. I don't mix it with a whole glass of juice any more, because it just means you have to chugg a glass of sorta gross juice. Now I just put it under my tongue, leave it for a minute, then wash it down with a shot of juice. Then take another few swigs of juice and the taste is gone.

I feel much better since taking this
I started taking this after reading that those with thyroid problems often have low levels of magnesium. I also read some of the book "The Magnesium Miracle" that goes into depth the many benefits of magnesium on the body and brain. I love that this is a liquid and that there aren't added ingredients like cellulose, magnesium stearate etc. (which I sometimes react to with a nice headache or IBS). Since taking it my energy levels are high and I've actually taken to task things that I have been putting off out of sheer laziness/fatigue. My muscles had been quite stiff even after starting yoga and I've had neck and backaches that came on out of the blue and since taking magnesium they are gone. I also notice that I am actually tired at night now and it helped considerably with insomnia. In all honesty though the taste is awful. I definitely recommend mixing it in a juice. I put it in a small amount of water and I will never do that again! You need something to mask the taste, add juice...and a lot of it!

I can feel how it works!
I've been using Ionic Magnesium for over a year or so now, and i can feel how it works. There are many forms of Magnesium and each form has different therapeutic properties and absorption rates, and also works differently. This chloride form an easily absorbable and bioavailable form of magnesium. I take it before bedtime and i feel it soothe and relax the nervous system, and gives me a better quality night sleep, and i see many very vivid dreams as a bonus.
I think the combination of minerals and Boron -helps to regulate mineral absorption, comparing to other brands and forms. I have about 3 different forms of Magnesium in my arsenal, in a pill form, and plant-based in a powder capsule, but i can't feel the same effect when take at night. So, i decided to use this one liquid form before bedtime, and plant-based powder form in the morning. The only thing about this liquid form is that it feels like a very salty water even if you mix it in a glass of water, i would doubt i could drink or take it regularly. So, i bought clear capsules and fill them with liquid, that way i don't feel the taste of salt. And the good part is that this magnesium liquid doesn't dissolve the capsule, the capsule gets dissolved by the stomach.

PACKAGE WARNING! Please be careful!
Although I gave this product 5 stars (because it is a great product), I do want consumers to be aware of the packaging. Long story short, I frequently purchase this for my mom either via Amazon or GNC. Historically, this has ALWAYS been packaged in a blue bottle, with a white cap. With my most recent Amazon order, the bottle cap was not screwed on correctly (it was a bit crooked, like a 35-40 degree angle) and a small portion of the liquid had spilled in the plastic bubble wrap seal that it came in. However, the plastic seal around the cap was still in place. The most bizarre thing is that the cap was black. I called Trace Minerals and asked if any of their products were manufactured with black caps, as I had never seen one on a Trace Minerals product. The answer was a vehement, NO. I quickly sent it back for a refund.

If you order from Amazon, please be aware of this before using.
