Changed my opinion on vitamin supplements!
Due to 3 years of relentlessly poor health my Pulmonary specialist has demanded daily vitamins with antioxidants and probiotics to perk me up. I have choked down a number of vitamin horse pills and gagged on liquid ones. I shopped at the local pharmacy, my physician endorsed, that emptied my wallet but did nothing positive to help me. I finally gave up until my health made me shop around for a boost. I am no longer a supplement skeptic. I should also admit I am an RN with many years of experience and hang my head in shame over my noncompliance. I follow and trust Amazon reviews so I ordered these. These mini tabs are shaped and sized to facilitate easy swallowing. More importantly I really believe they have helped me improve my health. Granted not by themselves but making a strong foundation to build on. Three tabs a day are so much easier to take. Read the label my Pulmonary specialist did and approved the contents. I am now a compliant patient who will be ordering another bottle.

UPDATE: it has been over a year consistently taking these vitamins and I really believe they have helped me build a much better and stronger health foundation. I have been the healthiest this last year than in the previous five. Wishing you the best of health in 2014!
UPDATE X 2: I have taken these vitamins faithfully and believe they are part of reason 2014 was such a good year for me. The best heath and well being in the last several years! I also began giving them to my husband. I want both of us to enjoy a long healthy future together. I wish everyone a heathy happy 2015!

Good choice for people 50+
I buy these for my wife. 3 small pills a day. So, each bottle will last 1 month. These do not contain iron, as an iron supplement is generally not needed in women after menopause. And, from the Rainbow website: PABA-free for those taking sulfa medication, vitamin K-free for those on blood thinning medication, iodine-free for those with thyroid concerns, and contains no copper, which is contraindicated for cancer patients and survivors.

Also, potassium levels are low (<1% of daily).

So, if any of these ingredients are important to you, then this product may not be for you.

Has what you need...and not what you don't
I got these for my mom a while ago and they are perfect for her needs. She used to love Rainbow Light, but stopped taking their Only Once daily, or the Women's One, and really didn't think she could use any of their multies due to them popping in various herbs like Dong Quai and Gingko which she does not want. She just wanted a straight, quality vitamin without herbs and spices. So the search began.

I also looked at New Chapter, but the only one they have that's "plain" is the Tiny Tabs. Their potency is pretty weak, IMHO, due to them being "food-sourced" not "food-based." I checked out Vitamin Code, Mega Food, Country Life, and pretty much any food-related product that Whole Foods carries. lol So, the search went on.

And here it ends. At first I was hesitant about her taking RL Mini-tabs because they leave out iron, copper, vitamin k, paba and iodine. I thought we all needed these in every supplement to make it complete, but after some research and looking at her fairly healthy diet, it really depends on where you are in life, especially being post-menopausal and therefore with no periods to relieve normal iron build-up. So, no extra iron needed. And no one really needs extra copper or paba as these are so trace that we all surely get enough from food. As for vitamin k and iodine, yes, we need these, but can get them in food (paprika comes to mind) and salt and fish, etc. She was pretty amazed that they managed to take out virtually all of the items that could cause her problems. She takes blood thinners and heart meds, so she has to be careful.

The only "extras" you're getting are harmless and may be beneficial to many: Spirulina algae, bioflavanoids, a moderate helping of probiotics (I take Renew Life's as well to boost my count), 1,000 units of vitamin D3, 1,000 mcg of lutein, 500 mcg of lycopene, digestive support from enzymes, and a sensible level of CoQ10 in this formulation. That's a huge plus. So, as far as what's in it and what isn't, it makes sense.

I love the fact that they are food-based, she likes that they smell like the rosemary that's in them (to keep them fresh) and they are such a great size. Some have said they would rather have a one-a-day type vitamin, but studies have shown that you really should break up your vitamin intake into at least two parts during the day. Three makes even more sense.

I admire Rainbow Light for answering the fastest-growing segment of our populations' need for a potent multi. Great job, RL!

Too big
Ordered because they were mini. They are the same length and width as most large vitamins. The only difference is they are thin. They also don't have a coating so if you have difficulty swallowing pills, they may not be a good fit. Im having to crush them and put in yogurt. Can't mix with juice because even crushed, they don't dissolve and stick to the side of the glass. I'm very disappointed because the vitamin content was exactly what I was looking for.

Great all around vitamin for those 50+
I bought these multivitamins for my grandmother who was seeking to change from her current vitamin due to the fact that each tablet was huge and had such a bad taste/aftertaste. Having been on these for 2 months now, she has nothing but great things to say about them. She loves the fact that they are the smaller "mini-tabs" that are easier to swallow than traditional multi-vitamins, and says that they actually don't taste bad it all when compared to her previous ones.

What I like about these is that I can be sure that she's getting the vitamin/mineral supplements that she needs including 1,000 vitamin D3, 1,000 mcg Lutein, and 500 mcg Lycopene without added products that those aged 50+ don't need. A great plus with these is that they are very gentle on the digestive system, and are gluten, dairy, and yeast free for those with allergies.

An Excellent Blend of Quality Nutritional Ingredients That are Easy to Swallow at an Excellent Price!
This is an excellent product! It has a very comprehensive blend of vitamins, minerals and other nutritional ingredients that are useful for the 50+ age range. I like that it also includes probiotics and ingredients for digestive aid, which is great because the digestion seems to be more of a problem as you age. They are very easy to swallow and because of the digestive aids I like to take at least one with each big meal. The dosage is 3 per day so I usually take two with lunch and 1 with dinner, unless I need the extra energy and then I will take all 3 by lunch. The price on these is extremely good for all the nutritional components that it provides. It even includes greens such as kale, spinach, dandelion and spirulina and also beet, not sure if that is the root or the greens, but either is an excellent addition. It also includes rosemary essential oil, which I like because scientific studies have shown it to be very beneficial. CoQ10, lutein and lycopene are also included and they are each vital components as well. As I said, a very comprehensive list of ingredients and an excellent price!
