An overlooked necessity

Magnesium is a mineral that is important for normal bone structure in the body. People get magnesium from their diet, but sometimes magnesium supplements are needed if magnesium levels are too low. Dietary intake of magnesium may be low, particularly among women. Magnesium deficiency is also not uncommon among African Americans and the elderly. Low magnesium levels in the body have been linked to diseases such as osteoporosis, high blood pressure, clogged arteries, hereditary heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. So with all these reasons in mind I have added this to my group of supplements that I take.<br /> An easy way to remember foods that are good magnesium sources is to think fiber. Foods that are high in fiber are generally high in magnesium. Dietary sources of magnesium include legumes, whole grains, vegetables (especially broccoli, squash, and green leafy vegetables), seeds, and nuts (especially almonds). Other sources include dairy products, meats, chocolate, and coffee. Water with a high mineral content, or &#34;hard&#34; water, is also a source of magnesium. I guess it's true that &#34;hard&#34; water is good for you, who knew? These were easy to swallow and didn't give me an upset stomach or heartburn.<br /> [[ASIN:B01LXB13M6 Magnesium Glycinate 1500mg (300 Mg Elemental) 140 caps Highly Absorbable TRAACS Albion vegan Helps Function of muscles, bones, heart Non-GMO 100% chelated not buffered]]

Good Product

I've been taking this to see if it would help with an occasional heart arrythmia. They say that if you are deficient in magnesium, it can take up to 6 months to replenish yourself internally. As I previously was not eating healthfully, I've been taking this product 2x daily for about 2 months & I do feel better & have had less arrythmic occurrences. I intend to take this 2x daily for another 4 months &, then, reduce it to 1x daily & get the rest of my daily magnesium requirement from (organic) foods. There are plenty of books on Amazon discussing the importance of magnesium to heart function.

Must try! Mood, anxiety, & hormones have improved

I have been taking this for a month now. Within a week of starting, I noticed a huge difference in my mood, anxiety and hormone fluctuations. It has also helped my hormonal acne. I will NEVER be depleted of magnesium again! Mg is so crucial for so many processes in the body and it's extremely hard to test for a deficiency, my recommendation would be to try it, chances are: You're deficient.

Awesome Supplement for Insomnia & RLS!

I have insomnia and I do take a medication for it; some nights I sleep pretty good, other nights not so well--especially if I miss that &#34;window of time&#34; to get calmed down and get to bed.<br /><br />Ironically, in the whole food supplement section, this supplement isn't listed in the Sleep Aids section. It was recommended to me by an instructor in a meditation class. It really helps me fall asleep more consistently. I tried another brand at the store, and it doesn't help as much as this particular brand does. So, I will be subscribing for this supplement.<br /><br />From reading the label, I learned it also helps with leg muscle relaxation. That was why I didn't get the dratted RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) when I can't sleep!

This is a good magnesium!

I have reordered not only for me, but also my mom. At first, she could not take it because in her it caused a laxative type effect which it shouldn't and did not for me. She is low on magnesium and I have fibromyalgia so I need as much magnesium as I can take without having it go right through me. This is a good magnesium! My mom just asked me to order her another bottle. I have also ordered some Ionic Boron as it is suppose to help with calcium and magnesium absorption.

great magnesium

This is the type of magnesium Dr Levy prescribes for osteoporosis in his book Death by Calcium. It definitely does relax me. I take it every night. I like that it has great bioavailability!
