Easy to mix, smooth to drink, tastes slightly bean/nutty. BETTER FLAVOR THAN WHEY

Verified

I love this consistency of this. smooth slightly grainy. not like sand but more like...beans/nuts that were floured. I enjoy it much more than whey isolate because of the flavor also. the flavor and smell of whey isolate was always off putting to me. The flavor this adds to my mix is slightly nutty/beany. reminds me almost of redbean.

I mix it with water, dark cocoa, and sugar.
10-12 oz of COLD water
3-4 tbsp of soy protein isolate powder
1-2 tbsp of cocoa
1.5-2 tbsp of sugar
(Mix like you would a gravy of flour and water)
1) mix the sugar and cocoa in a small amount of water. mix with fork until a thick chocolaty liquid. should smell sweet.
2) add 1 tbsp of the Protein Powder (pp). Mixture will thicken. add water and keep the consistency of a thick pudding/runny cake icing.
3) Repeat step 2 until all of soy protein added.
4) after soy protein added, slowly add water while stirring. Consistency should be smooth and like a slightly thick milkshake.
5) Add water until desired thickness.

Enjoy. It should taste GREAT and be smooth. slightly grainy like floured beans/nuts, and taste chocolaty with a slightly nutty profile.

also a note...This is not filling to me. Personally I usually feel hungry again within an hour of eating this. I don't think it's good enough as a meal substitute. I eat this then munch on some bread or some carbs. sometimes edamame.

DO NOT ALLOW TO CLUMP WHILE MIXING. IF IT GETS CLUMPY, THROW IT IN A BLENDER! IT WILL FOAM A LITTLE IN THE BLENDER...BUT NOT A LOT.

-----

I no longer consume soy products. I felt myself getting weak minded and efiminate while taking this. I now only eat rotisserie chicken and red meat for protein. I eat mostly meat and nuts with few vegetables.

Do not exceed 30g per day, keep out of reach of children.

Bulksupplements is an ideal concept but only if it's for ideal supplements. The label says Distributed by Henderson, NV but the truth is it is sourced in China, no wonder theres a warning not to exceed 30 grams per day and to keep out of reach of children. This is why I always buy organic soy milk and bulksupplements would do well to invest in USDA organic certification if they want to stay ahead of the supplement curve.

Personal experience, powder does not blend in a blender and always settles to the bottom like sediment no matter what you mix it with. I hope GMP means no heavy metals, especially from China. At over $9/lb smh.

Not tasty at all.

Verified

What I liked

I like the fact that it’s made 90% from soy. Not being a supplement guy myself, I was looking for something that was mostly natural without all of the extra fluff. It may be good when you mix it with pancakes or in baked good. Unfortunately I did not get to that point.

What I disliked

If you are not serious gym junkie or someone that loves natural products no matter how they taste, then this is the product for you. This product was not my style at all. Very powdery. I tried mixing it with chocolate syrup, blending It with little bit of 2% lactose-free milk and strawberries, I’ve tried blending it with blueberries and other fruit. The powdery taste never goes away. No matter how long you blend it or how much ice you throw in it. I actually tried to like this product but I could not continue. And to put it in perspective, I am pretty serious about my health. I’m 6”2, 220 pounds. Constantly working out and I try not to use any supplements. I eat healthy as well. I’m not that guy that just started working out, heavy and out of shape. I get it in. But I had to give up this product and go grab a different protein powder with flavor and lacks the powdery texture after shaking for 5 mins. Sorry Bulksupplements.

Tastes like Soy Milk

Verified

I didn't see any non "free product reviews," so here's one:

This is a great protein. It is "unflavored," but don't let that fool you. It tastes good. I have added it to soy milk, and just plain water. It makes the water taste like soy milk and the soy milk more ... yummy? should I say?

I intend to try it with a bunch of different things, PB, vanilla, etc. Basically I treat it like soy milk. I use a blender bottle, and end up with some chunks, but with extra vigorous shaking, I'm sure that can be eliminated. It is also very dense in protein (30g gives you 27g of protein with only like 125 calories). I love it.

Note: It does settle pretty fast, so keep shaking.

Will continue to purchase

I’d really like to give this protein 3.5 stars. I’ll start with the Pros: It works well with pancakes and smoothies. Because of the flavorless characteristic it can pretty much be mixed in anything. The only ingredient is Soy Protein. There are no other added, unnecessary ingredients that you find in most protein supplements. It’s easy on the stomach. Great price. Cons: If you are looking for a protein that mixes well in water or almond milk this is not the protein for you. It’s even a tad bit gritty in smoothies. Since I don’t drink this protein for fun or for taste, I chug it. So that’s also an option for you. It’s made in China. I hate the packaging. It doesn’t come with a scoop. I just put mine in a Rubbermaid container and I’m using a scoop from another protein that I saved. Wrap up: I’m on my third order of this protein and overall am pleased with the price and how it makes my body feel after workouts. I will continue to purchase this protein

Another low carb miracle

Verified

Great for low carb baking. I use a quarter cup of each soy protein then quarter cup of flax, chia, hemp seed mix and a quarter cup hulded hemp seed one egg pinch of salt. and almond milk little sweetner .mix to pancake consistancy in a big widemouth mug . microwave for about 2.5 to 3 min. dump out slice and fry slices in pan makes great toast. Or soak bread slices in egg and fry for french toast. Or add in cocoa powder and coconut shred or nuts or some frozen blueberries for a nice muffin. In 3 Min!
