Jarrow Formulas Whey Protein, Unflavored
This is one way to get more protein with out having a steak. A little whey mixed with a small egg, baking power, a little water and vanilla flavoring all whipped up together, cooked on a non-stick pan makes a pancake. Since flour pancakes are out, this makes a puffy pancake and supplies needed protein. Also add a little of this to other things I cook to get the protein into meals without the meat.

Find your Whey on this Winding Path to Fitness
I like this flavorless whey. It imparts a clean, neutral flavor to my smoothies that doesn't produce any funky results. (I actually made the mistake of a cookies n' creme green protein smoothie....ugh, never again.) Jarrow tends to skimp a little on quantity, though, as I feel other makers have offered more protein powder for a similar price. Still, I like Jarrow Formulas' products and use them frequently. I'd like to see if I can procure this protein a bit more cheaply, though. This is good for the moderate athlete or person who just needs to supplement their protein intake (like lacto-ovo-vegetarians such as myself) as opposed to the hardcore strength and fitness junkie who tears through protein powder jars like bears in salmon season.

Best tasting protein!
Best tasting protein. I don't like artificial sweetners, etc.... This is just as plain as you can get. It is derived from milk and does contain lecithin ( soy). I try to stay away from soy, but all of the powdered protein seem to have some. This one packs 18 gr protein per scoop. I have tried the rice proteins, but didn't find any that I liked. I can drink this in just plain water, but typically, I mix it in a blender with some water, ice and half a banana. It's incredibly delicious. I went to Wholefoods and bought a whole bunch of different brands of single serve packets to taste them all. This was the only one I found that I really liked. If this product didn't exist, I probably would not buy anything else.

Pretty nice recovery fuel, no complaints so far.
You get a nice amount for the price. It can be stubborn when mixing (using the conventional glass and spoon method) sometimes, and it can be a little lumpy but those usually stick to the side of the glass. Not a big problem, just scrape the small lumps into the liquid and continue mixing until gone. Trust me, it's nowhere near as difficult as dissolving creatine. Let's talk about the taste of the product. It's sort of thick and creamy, and it is VERY similar to the taste of powdered coffee creamer. Strange but true. If you've never tasted powdered coffee cream, don't worry it will not be bitter or nasty. It's just a light creamy taste, and it works great after an intense workout. You'll feel prepared to work out again in about 15-20 minutes after having a drink/shake. I mix it with water and it thickens the liquid, so I call it a shake. Just like I said, it's an effective recovery fuel. I used to get Myoplex, but they're a little too expensive for my taste these days. As long as this product remains reasonably priced, I'll get more in the future. Fellow bodybuilders, fitness gurus and gym rats like me will love this product. It's great to have around, highly recommended product for those who need it.

Actually unflavored, dissolves easily protein is helping with necessary gradual weight gain
This Whey powder was for a friend of mine who has been in the hospital a few times recently. He'd lost enough weight that his doctor was concerned and recommended a protein powder. I was just going to buy a flavored one, but his wife suggested that we get unflavored. She wanted to be able to add it to soups, stews, smoothies, etc and thought unflavored would be more versatile.

I did some comparison pricing and shopping with local stores and online. I don't have much experience with whey protein. I have used other Jarrow products and found them excellent. His wife was happy because she had recently seen something positive about the Jarrow brand too.

It's been added to his diet. The report is that it dissolves well and is actually legitimately unflavored. This is good because it means she can sneak it into things without him knowing. This gives him no chance to be ornery, which makes everybody happier. He's still not eating as much, but he's using this and a couple protein drinks and is slowly gaining weight. I recommend this as a product to use if your need this kind of supplementation.

Yuck
This tastes disgusting! Even in food, for it being unflavored, it has a bad taste. I will not buy it again.
