Compatible with MTHFR Mutation

I happen to be part of the population that has the MTHFR mutation and thus do not process Folic Acid all that well. This in turn leads to vitamin imbalances and could compromise neurological development and DNA formation. Best Nest multivitamin is one of the few multi's that use Folate (the natural form that everyone can use). I am very happy with this product as not only is it made of organic, non-GMO ingredients, but they also strive to use the vitamins in their most bio-available form.

Caring People Own This Company

This company takes care in using L-methylfolate (good) instead of folic acid (bad).
They also use the methylcobalamin form of B-12. The whole B-12 discussion continues to evolve. Until recently it was thought that cyanocobalamin is a bad form of B-12, and that methylcobalamin, adenosylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin are better. But this is a grey area. A lot depends on whether or not one has genetic mutations, such as the most common one, the MTHFR gene. Rather than getting a test for this specific gene mutation, it is better to get a comprehensive gene panel test for all gene mutations (most people don't have any, but still many do); this helps determine which form of B-12 one needs. A lot of people still cling to the idea that cyanocobalamin is bad B-12. Maybe they are right and maybe they are wrong. I am not a health care professional, and there is conflicting information and advice on the net. I am trying to find this all out myself. If anyone has the REAL enlightened info on all this, that would be a great help.
All in all I am impressed with the care Best Nest Wellness takes in coming up with a beneficial men's multivitamin, and the avoidance of any additives, like soy, sugar, yeast, preservatives, etc. I take it every other day, or sometimes every third day, so it's hard to notice a difference in my energy levels because of that. Four Stars instead of Five is only because of my own personal uncertainty expressed in this paragraph and the last one. But it is obvious that Best Nest Wellness is a good and caring company.

In general, I am very pleased with this vitamin.

I am very pleased with this vitamin. This bottle contains 60 tablets and only one serving size. This means that it will last for about one months. I get so frustrated when I buy a supplement and it contains a lot of pills, but you have to take two per serving, so that eventually only lasting a month! The tablet has a standard size - no horse pills. It is very easy to swallow. The bottle does regular "vitamin" smell when you open it. I'm in my late 30s and have not been very good about taking vitamins on a regular basis. The last few times I've tried to donate blood, I turned away due to low iron. I'm approaching perimenopause, and I read that it can affect the levels of iron, too. So I was looking for a multivitamin that included iron. One thing I noticed (and I like it) that my urine is bright yellow. It's definitely more yellow than when I do not take any vitamins, but it is not bright yellow, which often comes with vitamins. Another thing I like about this supplement is that it contains B vitamins, which I have taken on an individual basis in the past. B vits help me with my energy level. I have not had any problems with nausea after its adoption. Directions say to take it with food, so I did it. In general, I am very pleased with this vitamin.

Great Product, Only Need One A Day

I purchased these Multi Vitamins for my husband. He has been taking multi vitamins for many years now, and I thought I should change his regular brand out and give this one a try. He has been taking them for several days now and he seems to be fine with the change. I like the fact that you only need to take one a day, which is better than his other brand and they are Free of artificial colors and flavors, sugar, sweeteners, preservatives, gluten, soy, yeast, fish/shellfish, nuts, GMOs, and dairy/lactose. So, this helped convince me to give these a try.

I also like the fact that all the vitamins and minerals in this product are food sourced in addition to the organic fruits & vegetables. So, I am very pleased with my purchase and do recommend these vitamins.

Three Stars

My husband takes them daily, but it hasn't helped. Does hurt though, which was what our doctor said.
