Exactly what I've been looking for!

I purchased this magnesium citrate in an effort to help my stomach move along. The fact that it also relaxes you and provides better sleep it was definitely something that I was also interested in although not the main reason why I chose this product. Admittedly, I was a little bit nervous on taking this for the first time before a work day, but there was no need to be. One scoop is just enough to help things along without making you have to run to the bathroom. There was no diarrhea or anything like that and no stomach cramping at all. I have some of the best nights sleep when I take this product. The only thing I didn't do when I first tried it was used the hot water so it was just mixed and I drink it like that. I thought the taste was pretty good although I didn't have many high hopes for that. You definitely need the hot water because it creates a chemical reaction. It will fizz and bubble just like soda and then once you stir it enough it will all go away. I think when I first received it I was just a little too excited to actually follow the directions! The next night I used it I tried it with hot water and it was completely different. I would definitely purchase this item again when I run out. The best thing about it is that it is a tiny little container but has 75 servings! Definitely worth the money!

There may be a better magnesium...

would like to share my findings on this product, I ordered and took for 4 months but upon more research I found this was not the magnesium supplement I was looking for. It is tasty, it is primarily a laxative more than a source of magnesium. As a senior I needed magnesium that really
worked and I found that in Doctor's Best High absorption 100% Chelated Magnesium. I only share this other brand because it really provides
the magnesium in my body, research yourself if you would like more information, I really read the reviews on
products looking for any info that is important! Love that Amazon provides comments to help us decide on products prior to purchase!

This has serious side effects

Please be aware that this can cause serious side effects.
I do want to stress that I don't think the seller or Amazon is selling a bad product or anything like that, the jar came sealed, its not old, it tasted good, etc.
Also, I have a bit of a magnesium deficiency that may be contributing to how this effected me, but I needed to let others know about this, since the side effects were serious and other people with deficiencies may be looking to try this.

I first tried this product three years ago. I was experiencing a heart problem (palpitations mostly), and after having tests from a cardiologist, they figured out I just needed some magnesium, and suggested this brand. They told me to take it only when needed, as in, when I started feeling palpitations. For this purpose it worked really well, since the absorbency is extremely high. However, after a while I started taking it more often, almost every day (I didn't see an issue since the product is designed as a daily supplement). For some weird reason, very gradually, my heart palpitations got much worse. I didn't link it to the magnesium, if anything it reinforced that I ought to be taking this every day. After that, something even weirder started to happen. Sometimes, in the early evening before I took the magnesium for the day, I would get a terrible headache. Like, 'I wanted to go to the hospital but couldn't even get to the phone' kind of pain. And unlike any other headache I've ever had, painkillers wouldn't do a thing to help (even after taking over the recommended dose of the painkillers and waiting several hours). Then, these super bad heart palpitations would start, followed by convulsions throughout my entire body. Like, my entire body would shake uncontrollably as if I was dying of hypothermia, except that I'd be in a warm room. This would go on until I could get to the magnesium (which, again, I didn't have any idea was linked to any of this, and only took it for the heart problems), but it would stop the entire episode, including the headaches. I truly didn't link any of this together. At some point I ran out of the powder and the only other kind of magnesium I could find was gummy chewable vitamins. Once I switched, the palpitations essentially went away, and I did not have another strange headache-shaking episode.

I was taking chewable magnesium for maybe a year without a problem. Recently though, I had some problems getting ahold of any other kind of magnesium (probably because people decided that magnesium helps with COVID19), so I saw this listed on Amazon and decided to switch back to this,. At first I thought it was fine (since I still hadn't linked this product to the strange side effects from before), and was having no issues. However, just as before, I gradually started having worse and worse palpitations (for the first time in over a year). Then, early this evening, I started getting a headache. It was so severe that I would have gone to the ER if it weren't for the pandemic. I took 4 or 5 painkillers and they barely did anything to help, even after 3-4 hours. Then the palpations started, then the shaking. The shaking went on for about an hour until I realized that the entire episode was related to magnesium. To test the theory I had a housemate bring me a glass of this magnesium. Within 10 minutes the headache was gone, palpitations were gone, the shaking stopped. I do not know why this specific type of magnesium is having this effect on my body. Perhaps its the high absorbency? Maybe the trace minerals? The way the powder is made or processed? I don't know. All I do know is that this product is harmful for me, causes some kind of strange biological dependence (where I need to take it for my body to work), and that I will immediately and permanently switch back to the gummies, which never caused me any kind of problem.

Works quickly

This form of magnesium works quickly. I'm typically deficient in magnesium and sometimes need to get it into my system quickly to correct my heart's rhythm. Capsule don't work like this does and it's kept me from going to ER on several occasions.

Switched to this from Natural Calm due to research of heavy metals in Calm

I started taking this because Labdoor and other tesing agencies were finding unreasonable traces of arscenic and lead in Natural Calm. This works just as well and also tastes better.

Best Citrate Out There!

I have been taking magnesium citrate for nearly 20 years to aid my fibromyalgia. This product all but removes my muscle pains and helps with the often-encountered constipation. I used Natural Calm for most of the 20 years until some weird formulation change forced me to find another source. So glad I found Natural Factors. Great product and extremely high-quality!
