There is a big competition going on in Amazon from sellers like Rhino and Bulk Supplements on selling cheap supplements in bulk. I have tried both and found both of them smell of Ammonia. Hard Rhino smells little less of Ammonia as compared to Bulk Supplements. I do not understand how most of other reviewers don't face this issue or are just happy that they got some cheap Glutamine. I have been using Glutamine for many years and can figure out easily on it's quality and result. For those looking for Glutamine spend a few more bucks and get it from companies like NOW Foods or ON. I have personally used both of them and results are good with no pungent smell or any other issues. It's a little expensive but worth the extra bucks

We have used, and recommended, Glutamine for about 5 years. We have found it to be an indispensable daily addition to our diet.<br />We take 1 teaspoon morning and evening. When sick, injured or achy after a hard days work in the yard, we add an additional teaspoon.<br />It makes a tremendous difference in recovery! A Surgeon even recommended it for after surgery to assist with recovery. We have found it to be a boost to the immune system. We have used primarily 2 different brands over the years; IRON-TEK and ALLMAX Nutrition Japanese Micronized, which are pretty much the same product quality....no smell, no taste, consistent results.<br />Having used, and liked, Hard Rhinos D-Ribose I decided to try their Glutamine.<br />The price is great... 83 cents per ounce. Iron-Tek is approx $1.15 per ounce. Allmax is approx $1.25 per ounce<br />There IS a difference in smell from the other 2 brands. It is noticeable. Strikes your nose a little like ammonia, but different. A bit off-putting.<br />The taste is also different. To me it tasted sweeter? Daughter thought it tasted sour...&#34;yuk&#34;.<br />Mixed with juice or smoothie...no noticeable taste either way.<br />Results have been comparable to the other brands.<br />Overall....I can deal with the smell, the taste is not an issue because we always mix it with something, and the price is hard to beat.<br />I will continue to purchase this brand.<br />A downside for some people may be the packaging. I happen to like the mylar bags (I re-use them!) and just transfer it to a mason jar for daily access.<br />November 2016 UPDATE: We continue to use this product! It is always consistent in quality. The packaging has actually improved, with more directions for use printed right there on the package. LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!

My wife and I both use this product with our weight lifting and fitness routine. I have been on a bulk since August 2014, up from 191 to 225 lbs. Some of it was fat. In the 35 days that I have been on a 15-25g per day dose, my waist has slimmed considerably and my body composition seems to be changing. I currently sit at 222lbs but I have not lost any size in my chest, arms and shoulders, just trimming around my mid section. I have used targeted nutrition before and after workouts to stave off the catabolic effect with great success. But on l-gultamine, the results have been even more dramatic. I feel like I can push harder. My diet is unchanged otherwise. My wife reports, a complete lack of sugar cravings since she has been on L-glutamine (5-10g per day).<br />I have noticed moderate improvement in my post weigh lifting recovery times. I use Hard Rhino creatine as well (excellent combo with l-glutamine), so that probably contributes to reduced recovery times.<br />In addition to the exercise benefits, which have been noticeable, I am sleeping much more deeply and falling asleep more rapidly. Throughout my life I have suffered from gut discomfort after eating spicy foods. It has never stopped me from eating them, but in the month of taking l-glutamine, I no longer experience this discomfort.<br />If you exercise vigorously, have had gut issues, or have restless sleep, this product is for you. At this price you have no excuse for not trying this product for a month. The effects I described were apparent after 5 days of use, 5g at breakfast and dinner and 5g before bed. On weight lifting days, 5g before exercise, 5g after exercise.

I use it to help stave off sugar<br />cravings since I am eating keto for my health and I tend to crave sugar. My son is using it because<br />he has been having lots of stomach issues and it is suppose to help with leaky gut.<br />We both mix it in with our protein drinks, sometimes I mix it with my powdered pro-biotics<br />first thing in the morning.<br />This is a very fine powder which dissolves very quickly.<br />It does not have any bad smell.<br />We had purchased another brand that had a terrible ammonia smell and did not mix as well<br />as this one.<br />We are very happy with this product and it has really helped with my sugar cravings and my<br />weight loss journey has been so much better this time around because of it. I am having a<br />much better time at sticking to this WOE (way of eating).<br />You may or may not have the same experience, but my son and I have had a very good<br />experience with it.<br />We are also both celiac and have not bad reactions to the product.

I was hesitant to order this, but I have to say it's been great. It has no flavor and dissolves easily into any liquid I've tried it in. I've found it best to just put a scoop (which is included) into my 32oz water bottle before working out. I'm naturally drinking from it the whole time I work out anyway, so it's a convenient delivery system that's not forcing me to chug a bunch of fluid all at once. I will be buying more of this!
