Please note serving size
I wish I would have realized the serving size. I thought I was purchasing enough vitamins to get me through the rest of my pregnancy (180), but the serving size is 3/day. Still happy with the purchase/quality.

I have been taking this product for a year and as soon as I opened a new bottle I broke out in hives immediately! It’s so scary that nursing and pregnant women are taking this vitamin. I have no known history of allergies and I cannot imagine this passing into my milk and causing a reaction to my baby. HORRIBLE.
First confession: I'm not pregnant (I used the test I received in Vine). HOWEVER, pre-natal vitamins are supposed to be the best vitamins you can take. Therefore I chose to take these.

The ingredients are fine for vitamins, however, they don't do any good when you can't take them! :( The first issue is how many you must take: 3. OK, I can handle 3 vitamins. The next issue is the size. These are HUGE. For some people, this WILL cause a problem. For me, I was able to take 3 at a time. But that's ME. Finally, taste. This is where i drew the line. They have a very strong grassy/nature taste. I couldn't handle the taste of them.

If you like the taste the grass, big pills and high amounts, they're great. They just weren't for me.
At our age, every bit helps keep you healthy and active. On average we spend a decent amount on vitamins each month but finding a reputable multi vitamin has been tough. When shopping for supplements we look for the following:
1. Bio-available forms from natural sources rather than synthetic forms. Many vitamins are derived from synthetic or man made chemical combinations that may not be as easily metabolized by the body. Whenever possible, we prefer food based sources that are recognized and used by the body.
2. Minimal/No fillers, preservatives etc...this is a tough one as our current multivitamin uses a preservative. Over time, you have to wonder what some of this does to the body so the new Garden of Life Organic line is a welcome addition!
3. Better forms of popular vitamins - for example, many multi's use cyanocobalmin which is an inexpensive form of vitamin B12 which just also so happens to give some people (including myself) raging headaches. The form used in this is methylcobalmin which is much better tolerated by many people (except those with Parkinsons). Likewise, this includes a better form of folate which is of maximum importance to expecting mothers -- especially those that may have a MHTR defect.
4. No Overlap - Because we buy a separate mineral supplement, a multivitamin should be that...filled with vitamins and minimal minerals. Also, calcium and iron should be excluded or minimized for those that may have too much in their diet.

Packaging - Love the big glass bottle with big easy to handle safety lid. Best of all worlds allow this to stay fresh, not packaged in plastic (egads) plus is easy to handle and use.

To date, I've taken daily supply for only three days but have experienced zero upset to stomach. No noxious odor like some multivitamins. Frankly, I'm very excited by this brand and intend to switch my multi vitamin option permanently. Also hoping they come out with a multi mineral option asap!
I did a lot of research and thought this was the perfect prenatal. I felt fine for a few weeks, but then I started to feel absolutely awful. I figured it was just morning sickness, but after about 2 weeks of feeling so sick I stopped taking these, and I felt SO MUCH BETTER. I felt like myself again (even with some morning sickness). My nausea significantly decreased, constant gag reflex went away, more energy, and mentally better. I don’t know what’s wrong with this vitamin but it was not good for me!
I am used to taking the women's one a day of this brand but since becoming pregant have switched to the prenatal version. Im not to excited about this product just because I have to take 3 pills a day rather than just 1 and it is hard to remeber to take the 3. I usually forget at least 1 dose sometimes 2 so I feel like I am not getting all the nutrients i need for the day. I will be going back to my normal one a day because I think its more practical.
