After 2 months we took the cat back and had his urine tested - finally clear! I used this to control my dog’s urine ph so she’d stop making struvite crystals & stop the non-stop constant urinary infections she was getting now that she’s aged despite all the antibiotics & vet care she was getting. I used ph paper to know how much it was changing her urine’s ph til I knew how much to sprinkle over her food every day. I can now use a sm. measuring spoon for the exact am’t it takes to keep her ph right where the vet said it needs to be (too little & it won’t work, but too much & she’ll get other kinds of stones). I do occassional ck her urine’s ph w/ the ph paper to be sure she still needs the same am’t of this every day, but I don’t have to check very often since her ph has stayed exactly right & is very stable now & I haven’t changed her dogfood either. This is so much better, cheaper, & healthier than feeding her those expensive vet prescribed prescription foods. I can keep her on her healthier food & save a whole lot of money too! This is so convenient & easy to do. But if you do this, PLEASE make sure you know what kind of crystals your pet has & what ph your pet’s urine is running, as well as what ph the vet says it needs to be so you don’t cause more harm!! Not getting all these things right will cause your pet a lot of pain & suffering & very possibly it’s life too after a whole lot of suffering. My dog will be on this for life, & this is a common problem for older female dogs.

Good product BUT pure L-Methionine is superior than this synthetic version. I give it to my cats and it has ended the issues with structure crystals and stones. Dosing can be found online. I have 500 mg L-methionine cspsules and I give half of a capsule sprinkled on each of my cats food once a day. I do this for a week followed by several days to a week break and keep repeating. Find the natural free form L-methionine, it won't cost much more.

Our 8 year old male cat had a recent bout with an urinary tract infection, strivite crystals, and small stones. We spent $600 (office visits and X-rays) ran up the bill on three visits to the vet. After taking prescription meds for a month, Buddy is back to normal. The vet recommended prescription food but Buddy would NOT eat it. The product arrived promptly, very well wrapped, in a foil type bag that stays fresh, and easy to sprinkle on Buddy's wet food. He is one to smell everything before eating and so far if this has a smell, he hasn't noticed it because he gobbles down his food, no problem. It has been several weeks now and so far Buddy has returned to his normal urinary actions. We are VERY, VERY happy with this product and will continue using it!

Glad to find the DL form. I have a booklet that says the L form is used up immediately in the body to repair areas of injury & inflammation, but the D form is used up more slowly up to 6 hrs.The combined form helps to get a better control of any painful,inflammatory condition. I've used it in the past but was unable to find it until now & I'm familiar with the smell it has so I know it definitely is what it says on the package. The powder form is great & easy to mix into something that will mask the taste. This is a great deal!
