It has Most of The Beneficial Cultures

Verified

So when I started looking for probiotics I researched each culture to see what it's good for. There are a lot of options are in the market and the information is sometimes confusing. But I decided to find a probiotic supplement with at least a couple of different cultures instead of one or two high doses of specific cultures. Here is what I found form my research about each culture contained in this supplement. These benefits are for adults but most of the research cautioned about taking these supplement children and pregnant people.

(1) Lactobacillus acidophilus: it can help reduce cholesterol; it can reduce diarrhea; it can improve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome; it can help treat and prevent vaginal infections; it can promote weight loss; it can help prevent and reduce cold and flu symptoms; it can help prevent and reduce allergy symptoms; it can help prevent and reduce symptoms of eczema; it's good for gut health

(2) Lactobacillus casei: It may also have some effect on other digestive problems, including colic, constipation, Crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, and ulcerative colitis. It may also be useful for: acne, hives, and fever blisters, allergies, eczema, and dermatitis, cold, flu, and respiratory infection, ear infection (otitis media), oral health problems, such as plaque, gingivitis, and canker sores, Helicobacter pylori infection, which causes stomach ulcers, Lyme disease, necrotizing enterocolitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and urinary tract and vaginal infections.

(3) Lactobacillus rhamnosus: it can prevent and treat diarrheal; it can relieve irritable bowel symptoms; aids gut health; it can protect against cavities; it can help prevent urinary tract infections; it can promote weight loss; it can reduce insulin sensitivity; it can reduce blood cholesterol; it can fight allergies; it can help treat acne.

(4) Bifidobacterium longum: it helps with digesting fiber and other complex carbs your body can’t digest on its own which may help reducing weight gain and reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic disorders. it helps in the production of other important chemicals too, including B vitamins and healthy fatty acids.

(5) Bifidobacterium lactis: several high-quality studies on the bacterium do exist that suggest B. bifidum shows promise in treating the following conditions: infection by Helicobacter pylori, irritable bowel syndrome, restoration of intestinal bacteria after chemotherapy, constipation, lung infections, ulcerative colitis, certain kinds of diarrhea, necrotizing enterocolitis, and pouchitis.

(6) Lactobacillus delbrueckii: Early-stage research suggests that it may play a role in managing the following health conditions: liver disease, common cold, diarrhea caused by antibiotics, inflammatory bowel disease, atopic dermatitis (eczema), allergic rhinitis (hay fever), colic, tooth decay, periodontal disease and other oral health problems, and preventing necrotizing enterocolitis.

So far I can personally say that the supplement helped me with constipation, weight loss (nothing dramatic), reducing cholesterol. these are the only things that I was able to observe (or see the changes in results) since taking it. That said, I also did make some changes to my diet as well so all those three could be just factors and not necessarily the main reasons for those achievements. One thing though I wish this supplement included in its ingredients list is the strain of each culture which helps provide more specific information about the effect of each culture.

Although I have been using this for a few months ...

Although I have been using this for a few months, the bottle has been consistently short one pill. Thought I was going crazy the last two months when I ended up with one pill left in the bottle when I take two as a dose. Decided to actually count the pills when I opened my new bottle today and yes only 59 pills with one opened in the bottle. Will be looking for a new brand.

Good Probiotic

I like this brand of probiotics. I take probiotics daily and like to switch between different brands so I get more exposure to the different strains. I research them all as well as I can before I buy since I've read many times independent testing shows there are not a lot of good brands out there that actually have what the bottle says in them and are active.
I'm also a paid member of a consumer group that independently analyzes various supplements so that helps a lot, since our family takes quite a few things and I like to know what I'm paying for is really in them. Anyway this brand passed the tests and that's why I'm trying them. The price is quite reasonable and they settle well for me. I feel confident to recommend them.

Not 20-BILLION Capsules

The front label is intended to deceive. These are not 20 billion probiotics as other companies label theirs. These are 60 capsules of 10 BILLION.
The side label pictures say 20 billion per TWO capsules.. These are really half the potency, or half the servings, you might think they are.

I will update this later for my final review of these as 10 BILLION probiotics.
