Great for cats! Too bad it's now an "add on" item

Verified

My cat has feline herpes along the ocular nerve. Without this product, if he gets stressed, his eye gets all red and can swell shut. He gets a very small dusting over his wet food and mixed in well twice a day, and no eye problems! This is a great product for cats because the granules are really fine, making it really easy to mix into wet food so he doesn't notice the taste or texture. I've tried a prescription kind from the vet, which was three times the price, and the granules were too large. He noticed the smell and texture each time, and would not eat it! This is a great product!

The only problem I have is that this item used to be included with free shipping from Amazon Prime, but now it's an "add on" item. Now if you are a Prime member, you cannot even order this item unless you have $25 in your cart, which defeats the purpose of having a Prime membership. Please Amazon, do away with the "add on" products. Isn't that what our Prime memberships are for?

A safer form of Lysine

Verified

I chose this particular type of Lysine because it doesn't have fillers or anti caking ingredients. It quickly dissolves in water. I control how much to take. The capsule form has magnesium stearate and is toxic in doses above 2,500mg. Lysine is safe up to 3,000mg. I take Lysine to help control nerve pain damage from Shingles outbreak a year ago. Sometimes, during very painful episodes, or to balance arginine, I take high doses of Lysine.

I love this product

Verified

I love this product. I am using it (as many seem to be here) as a supplement for my cat who has runny eyes. Every time I would bring her to the vet they'd tell me 'well, that's just how it's going to be; she'll always have that issue.' They made no attempt to prescribe her anything or even to TELL me what could be the cause of the eye leakage. No one even suggested I try l-lysine. I found out about this purely by doing internet searches. And after I started adding this to her wet food (1/4 tsp a day) I saw a notable improvement in the runnyness and mucous discharge in her eye. (Notably, my cat only ever has this discharge in her left eye; the right eye is completely uncompromised). I have been very happy with this supplement and feel as if I am doing something to help the health of my cat. Additionally, the powder is so fine that it is very easy to mix into her wet food and (to my knowledge) she does not notice it at all!

Great for cats.

I use this for my kitty who suffers from chronic feline herpes virus. This has been the easiest easy to administer L-Lysine to her, as I can mix 1/3 tsp into her water each morning. It dissolves almost instantly and has no taste. And it doesn't have any additives that are harmful to cats.

The results is amazing, in just two days the irritation was gone

Verified

I was having a skin irritation, so I bought my Lysine on a higher dosage once I was already taking L-Lysine made by me. The results is amazing, in just two days the irritation was gone. Lysine is the best for your skin along with Dr. Wayne Diamond Herpanacine Total Skin Support. Psoriasis? Gone. Yes, I recommend this product, always. Ana

Good supplement for cats

Verified

Use it as a supplement for my cats that suffer from the HPV virus and have black crusties around the eyes and nose. I don't know if there is any medical research to support my claim--all I know if that when I use it, the nose and eyes clear up. When I run out, they get much work. I sprinkly it on their food morning and night and works great!
