Magnesium Oxide is worthless and barely absorbed

There are a few types of magnesium available via supplements. Studies show that out of 500 mg of Magnesium Oxide approx 12 mg are absorbed (4%) and the rest flushed down the toilet. This is one reason this product is so inexpensive. Magnesium Glicinate is one of the best forms and when chelated, 100% of it is absorbed (according to studies). So wherever you see Magnesium Oxide view it as ZERO magnesium. You get what you pay for.

Any product that contains Magnesium Oxide is a strong indicator as to the quality of the overall product. I gave this two stars vs one just to be nice.

Nice to have an alternative

My children are all milk allergic, not lactose intolerant, milk allergic. It's nice to find a good calcium supplement that has all the ingredients of a highly absorbable and useable calcium, and no milk or milk products. I go for the kosher vitamins, not because I'm Jewish, but because I know how strict you have to be to get a kosher designation. This one seems to be well tolerated and effective, though I am not a doctor and cannot evaluate it medically.

Better than taking additional calcium and other supplements

I have hyperparathyroidism and this is the only combination in one pill alone. Since I had gastric bypass
in '02, I now do not absorb calcium very well. After experimenting with D3, magnesium and calcium supplements, this product really helps. I take 3 in the a.m. and 3 in the pm and my parathyroid function is now within normal limits as is the D3 and mag. so now, I don't have to take D3 and mag extra supplements
as well. It took me a year to get it normalized. YAY!

Convenient

Easier to have all in one vitamins, than three separate ones

Highly recommend

Very important nutritional supplement, as I need to prevent bone loss as I age. I have taken this supplement before and they all arrived in huge bottles, taking up lots of space on my counter. I love that it arrives in a compact easy to fit container. Works as intended. Highly recommend!

1000 mg per pill

They suggest taking 4 pills a day and each pill has 4000 mg. Daily recommendation for Calcium is 1200. I started having kidney soreness after 2 weeks.
