I know you believe nothing will help...but this DOES!
Good stuff. Have taken everything a shrink can prescribe, and in my experience, everything that's designed to help anxiety or depression either does absolutely nothing, or on the other end of the spectrum, knocks you out, where you're too out of it to be able to feel conscious enough to notice any ability to relax & focus on the task at hand, i.e., going to work or dealing with people or paying bills. Most of us want to FUNCTION and CALM DOWN simultaneously, which is no easy feat. I have been on Welbutrin, Ativan, Xanax, Klonapin & Paxil, with no positive results. Theanine Serene is a godsend in this case. My agoraphobia is by no means beaten, but the early morning jumping-outta-my-skin feeling is under control & I have been able to deal with everyday life without crippling fear, so it's worth it. And I seriously doubt it's a placebo effect because I didn't expect it to help at all--it was only an hour after my first dose, when a colleague approached me and talked to me & I wasn't freaked out & able to commiserate on her problem that I realized, hey, I'm actually sorta comfortable with this! It took me a minute to make the connection with having taken the theanine. Try it. I have done my homework & have supplemented my Theanine Serene with l-Tyrosine, Kava Kava, and 5-htp--which may have helped. Who knows. But I have skipped all of them from time to time--it's only the theanine serene that actually makes a difference, the only pill that I actually can notice an absence of well-being when I skip. It's not too pricey, so just try it. I know that I personally will keep taking it!

Helps Round Out My Nootropic Stack & My Mood!
So my Theanine Serene arrived in the mail today.. WOW. I’m impressed.

I’ve been using suntheanine by Solgar for awhile now as part of my caffeine + L-Theanine nootropic stack for steady focus and concentration.

For those uninitiated, L-theanine is a nonessential amino acid found almost exclusively in the camellia sinensis plant (green tea). It helps to counteract the negative effects of caffeine by calming the excitatory neurotransmitters in the brain that cause anxiety.

So, I found the Solgar brand to be very subtle and it took a few days to really kick in, and even when it did the effect was negligible unless I took up to 300mg twice a day and that was on top of also taking Alpha BRAIN which contains 200mg of theanine as well.

I can say after about a half hour of taking Theanine Serene I was so super chilled out. I went to work a couple hours later and nothing seemed to phase me, which is a big deal considering what a high stress environment it is. To me; that’s all the proof I need. I’ve researched everything in it: magnesium, GABA, taurine, theanine, and Holy Basil leaf.

That’s why I decided to go with this particular brand; because it combines so many elements which act upon GABA brain receptors towards the same effect. So it’s a multi-pronged attack. I imagine that’s why it’s so effective.

OF COURSE something to remember is that 1.) These are supplements that you may or may not already be partially procuring through diet already and so therefore may have some degree of tolerance if you experiment with them. And 2.) Individual physiology differs from person to person (weight, metabolism, age, etc.) dictates how you’ll react. If anyone reads this and decides to give it a chance, give it a week at least or more based on the aforementioned variables to allow the components to pass the blood/brain barrier and saturate your receptors.

MY SECOND REVIEW - UPDATE
This is my second review - a sort of update since I have been taking Source Naturals Theanine Serene. Since I first started taking this supplement in February, I must admit I was a bit skeptical. However, I wanted something that was more natural based. Since then, I have to say, I have noticed a difference. It took about a week as I "wasn't paying too much attention" to this. I just wanted it to do its work, or not and "see." On the bottle it states to take at least two tablets; I like to be on the side of caution and take less and start with one and that's usually all I take per day. SOMETIMES I take a second, but I can say maybe it's been two or three days since February till now that I have taken two in a day. For me, one per day is sufficient. Also, to my surprise and pleasantly, and I really had paid absolutely NO attention but all of a sudden it just dawned on me one day, I noticed I was NOT having Restless Legs any longer! Serious! I have been suffering from this syndrome for well over 15 plus years and for the past 10 it had gotten worse (at night mostly). I don't suffer from any major neurological problems, just Restless Legs where when I am in bed at night I have to constantly move my legs for almost 1/2 hour or more so I need to get out of bed stretch. move them around, etc., etc. Sometimes during the day if I sit still too long, I get it at times, too. If anyone has this, they know what I mean. It can be rough. Anyway, when I say all of a sudden, it dawned on me, and disappeared. This seemed to have happened since I have been taking this supplement, Theanine! This was the ONLY change in my diet or anything else and the funny thing is I had stopped taking the supplement (not on purpose) for about five or six days and low and behold; my Restless Legs Syndrome were returning again and then again I realized I had not taken that supplement! I think, not only does this supplement "calm" and help one with stress, but it must do something with some neurological thing at least with me, with regards to my RLS. I can't tell you how great that is. If anyone reads this; and has RLS, of course I would hope you talk it over with your physician/neurologist, etc. I have (I also see a Neurologist for Migraines), so I just don't take it upon myself to "doctor" myself. I just wanted to share results. Remember, everyone is different; so speak with your physician first! Thanks for reading.

This supplement works!
This really seems to help. I take it for stress, anxiety, and sleeplessness. It seems to insulate my nerves. It's subtle, not like taking pharmaceuticals, but it definitely works. I take two of them most days about 12 hours apart. I'd recommend it to anyone who is dealing with daily anxiety, overwhelm, or stressful life situations. I noticed a difference after taking it regularly for about 3 days. I've been using this supplement for about 3 months.

This is the most effective sleep aid I've found. ...
This is the most effective sleep aid I've found. Tried just about everything else including scrips for Ambien and Xanax. Those are highly addictive and leave you foggy. This helps calm my active mind so I can fall asleep and stay asleep without side effects
