Thorne makes me feel great
I have been slowly switching all of my supplements to Thorne as I've been thoroughly impressed with the freshness and digest-ability of their products.

I began taking Thorne's Nutrifem multivitamin, Floramend Prime Probiotic, and liquid Vitamin D at the same time, and have been doing so daily for 2 weeks. There's been a big increase in energy and mental clarity. I cannot say which Thorne product is making the biggest difference, I'm just happy that it's all working!

I have serious food allergies and have had no reaction to any Thorne product.

Also, it doesn't have much of a taste, it's much like putting a drop of vegetable oil on your tongue.

Great Stuff, easy to use
This is an oil which you can up drops under your tongue or just put a few drops on your skin and rub it in which is what I do. Recommended dose is only two drops so a bottle lasts forever in case you think 1 oz sounds like a small amount. There are 600 dozes per container.
Vit D3 = 1000 IU
Vit K = 200 mcg
This is a great quality of D along with K which helps with the absorption. If you have an elderly person you want to have D/K rubbing a few drops on the skin is far easier than trying to get them to take one more pill!

Both Bottle Tops Are Terribly Designed!
Who the heck created such a poorly designed bottle?? I read previous reviews and ignored them thinking how possibly bad could this be?

Upon first unscrewing the lid, it looks like an essential oil dropping mechanism plug. But nothing comes out! So you are forced to use a knife or other object to pull off the plastic top and throw it away. Leaving you to use a spoon to carefully pour.

Dumb design, I bought the other bottle that’s abailable and it had the same top. Wow.

My advice to this company is to make a dropper!

Great product, poor packaging.
I have ordered this many times, and while I like the product, the top of the dropper always goes "lopsided" on me and it ends up leaking everywhere, so I have to throw it away before I've used it all. I've tried shoving it back it, but can't. This has happened consistently with every one I've purchased. I keep telling myself it's a fluke and continue to buy it... well, I'm finally convinced it's not.

High Quality, Low Dose Vitamin D Drops: Coconut Oil Base
These 500 IU Vitamin D Drops are, in my opinion, a very safe and easy way to supplement Vitamin D, an essential nutrient. The older you are, the more important Vitamin D supplementation can be, as it has some hormonal effects and is important for bone, skin, and eye health. It can also boost mood and has some powerful immune system effects.

Daily requirements are very controversial, and, in my opinion, very dependent on your genetics; I suggest you research this thoroughly for yourself before supplementing, and, if you choose, work closely with a trusted health professional.

I think it's also VITALLY IMPORTANT to concurrently supplement with Vitamin K2 (like this soy-free version: [[ASIN:B0013EJ5QM NOW Foods Vitamin K-2,100mcg, 100 Vcaps]] ). Simultaneous Vitamin K supplementation is important, long-term, to prevent calcification and atherosclerosis (PLEASE research this for yourself; Google can help). K2 is also an excellent bone-builder in its own right. Personally, I supplement with somewhat high levels of D and have my blood tested every 6 months to keep it at 70 or so. Amazon even sells mail-in Vitamin D blood spot test kits [[ASIN:B0083MPM1Y Vitamin D Test]] , so you can easily & safely do this without a visit to a lab, if you choose.

The flavor of these drops is just fine; it's in a coconut oil base, easy to take sublingually (under the tongue) for fastest action. Highly recommended for its quality & effectiveness!

----
Have a question about this supplement? Just leave a comment & I'll be happy to help you, if I can.
---
UPDATE 3/2/16: Responded to a question & thought I'd post the answer w/i the review, just FYI:
Q: How much do you take daily?

A. My intake varies, depending on how much sun exposure I get in a day (I spend time outside, whenever I can). i take 1 [[ASIN:B0013EJ5QM NOW Foods Vitamin K-2,100mcg, 100 Vcaps]] and 6000 iu (12 drops of this 500 iu Thorne D3) daily, on average. In winter, I double that. For my age (over 40) and gender (female), that seems to work very well at keeping me at my goal of 70. I actually bought this lower-dose 500iu for my hubby (who needs less), but simply take more drops myself to get what I need, just to simplify our supplements.

Dosages are SO individualized & really depend quite a bit on your genetics and the general state of your health. I had my gene print "read" at 23andme & some analysis through promethease definitely showed that I have a genetic proclivity toward a greater-than-average need for Vitamin D.

My best advice is to get your bloodwork done FIRST, then get medical advice as to a starting dosage to raise your levels. Hope that helps!

I was extremely vitamin D deficient. So I ordered Thorne liquid vitamin D. When I went back for a follow up, my doctor was actually surprised when that I wasn't vitamin D deficient. Living in Seattle, he rarely sees people who get enough vitamin D.
