Cost per serving size is outragous.
This isn't a one pill a day vitamin, so when you weight that out with the price it's a little absurd. 4 capsules a day seems a bit excessive for what you'd want as a daily vitamin. I love Vitamin Code products, but the pricing for these really makes me want to find a different company.

The Best Vitamin I Have Tried!
I started giving this vitamin to my son because it was the closest I could find to the recommendations in Dr. Bock's Book Natural Relief for Your Child's Asthma. After he took one bottle I decided to go back to the cheap Whole Foods children's chewable vitamin because I wasn't sure the Vitamin Code was worth the price. After a couple of weeks on the cheap vitamin he started getting sick again and was complaining of severe leg pains at night. The pain was so bad he couldn't even sleep. After a couple of weeks of sleepless nights, I bought some more Vitamin Code. After one dose the leg pain disappeared. I only have to give him one capsule a day, so the price isn't really that bad considering that i can tell that the vitamin is actually working. I have recently started taking it as well and I only take two capsules a day instead of the 4 they recommend. WOW! I have energy and my hair isn't falling out anymore. I have always had fine hair, but now it has texture and is actually full! I try to get all my nutrients from my diet, but I never actually thought that a vitamin would be this amazing. And one of the best parts is it does not give me an upset stomach...you can take it with or without food. I am totally hooked on the Garden of Life and am convinced that synthetic vitamins (no matter how much you pay for them) are garbage. Your body needs nutrients from food sources, not synthetic vitamins. Sometimes it is hard to get all you need from food alone despite how healthy you eat.

Not even close to other WHOLE FOOD SUPPLEMENTS!!
Compared to the other supplements I use ," Healthforce" , "Synergy", this brand is junk. The price isn't cheap either! If your looking at this for the "raw" & whole food part of it, then PLEASE , use your money to buy the REALLY GOOD STUFF. This is better than any centrum or 1a day , but if you want to really feel a difference & make a difference in your health, then don't buy this brand. I have learned so much in 2yrs of using whole food natural supplements, & wasted much time & money in the beginning! So, if I can save someone a bit of time & money- it's worth a few mins.to write a review. Not to mention ppl that need great supplements due to health issues, this is NOT going to help heal or reverse anything!! Research a few of the best brands, read reviews on here even, they may be expensive but they are 100% worth every cent ! This brand also has questionable sourcing & was sold , the guy who started it got in a bit of trouble over a few of his claims etc. save your $$ & health, purchase a better brand- Jenn~

high quality
After being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, my rheumatologist put me on a dozen supplements and advised on a daily multi that was organic with whole foods. I have been taking 2 capsules 2x a day with everything else and they have made such a difference in my life. I can't recommend them enough.

I love the ingredients, but the caps are synthesized cellulose.
I love the ingredients, but the caps are synthesized cellulose. Cellulose is made with the same toxic solvents paper pulp is made. The cellulose absorbs a significant amount of the toxins and there they remain. Another ingredient used by other supplement manufacturers is magnesium or vegetable stearate which is a neurotoxin. I know this because my MD did a study in conjunction with NIH on additives and how they shrink our brains. We should not be putting anything in our bodies that our bodies do not recognize as food.

Mega-dose of B12 (methylcobalamin) = cystic acne
I tried this vitamin because it is hard to find a good daily without mega-doses of a single vitamin and I thought this would be a good one, but after only a few hours of taking these (I only took 2, a 1/2 dose) I had several painful acne cysts develop under the surface of my skin. I have clear skin 99% of the time and the last time I broke out like this was after I stated taking a quick-dissolve B12 (as methylcobalamin) supplement. I checked the ingredients and there is 1000mcg (1670% DV) of B12 as methylcobalamin. It is a very bioavailable form of vitamin B12, but studies have shown it to induce/inflame acne. If you have acne issues now or have anytime in the past, I would avoid this form of B12, it causes acne by increasing the metabolism of P. acnes bacteria in your skin. I had acne issues many years ago in my teens so I probably have plenty of acne bacteria that are sleeping peacefully until I take a large dose of B12. The huge dose means that I could only take 1 of these safely (1/4 dose) and that means only getting a small fraction of the DV % of the other vitamins.<br /><br />* I don't think these are terrible vitamins, I should have read the ingredients more thoroughly. The low score is more of a warming and possibly an answer to anyone who is having skin issues after taking these vitamins. Acne cysts are not only painful, but take weeks/months to go away because they do not come to the surface. If you do not see a whitehead, do not try to pop or mess with it, it will only make it angrier and more likely to scar. Camphor oil, applied topically, works to shrink cysts and make them less painful. Another very helpful treatment is crushing up an aspirin, mixing it with a few drops of water and applying it to the cyst. You can rinse it off after a few minutes or leave it on overnight once you know your skin is not overly sensitive to it.
