Great powder, but FYI - it's no longer soy free

I absolutely love this protein powder. I've tried many, and this is by far the best in taste, consistency, and nutrition (26g of protein!!).<br /><br />I do have to warn everyone though, the product description is outdated. I just received this and noticed a change on the label - it now contains soy lecithin. If you need or want to avoid soy, do not buy this product. However, if soy is not an issue for you then I highly recommend it.

dessert for breakfast, lunch or dinner

I'm not an athlete, just a very busy person who would miss meals without this product. I have it every morning mixed with unsweetened almond milk and a little plain yogurt, but if I get home too late for dinner I'm very likely to have it then also. Sometime I mix in frozen strawberries. Besides being all kinds of yummy, it is a fabulous and quick source of protein and I am amazed at how full I stay. Usually breakfast at 8am wears off by 11am, but now I'm not hungry often until 1pm. I found the Vanilla a little too sweet but the chocolate is perfect. BTW, I've lost 20 lbs in 3 months and I attribute a lot of my success to having this in the morning and as an occasional other meal replacement. I never feel cheated.

Almost Raw Milk

I purchased Bluebonnet Natural Whey on the advice of a local health food store owner (that doesn't sell it). At first I considered the Naked Whey powder and asked her if she could get it for me, but she couldn't. She then mentioned that she really liked Bluebonnet because they were the first to make a grass-fed whey protein. So I decided to take her advice and got the Bluebonnet Whey from Amazon. I really like it because its all natural from a very reputable company. It is also low heat processed so it is not denatured protein as it says on the label. I've tried a lot of different protein powders, but I really like and trust this one more. There are only a few ingredients on the label unlike many of the others. The taste is good, but not overdone like a lot of the other protein powders I've tried. Even though I have just started to use it, it will probably be the only protein powder I will buy from now on, because I've finally found what I had been looking for, almost raw milk.

New Formulation: No More Soy lectin

I don't have soy allergies but was made aware of that issue due to reviewers' comments.<br /><br />So, when I looked at the ingredients label, I noticed now it says &#34;sunflower lectin.&#34;<br /><br />I haven't tried the original flavor or the vanilla one, but this chocolate one tastes good (for a protein mix w/o all the sweeteners).<br /><br />Hope this helps those who are concerned about the soy lectin issue.

Whey Protein Isolate Chocolate

I love the Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate. I've tried the vanilla and don't like it as much. Try mixing the following in a blender: almond milk, chocolate protein isolate, frozen banana. I cut up bananas and freeze them ahead of time.

Tastes Horrible!

I LOVE the Bluebonnet Whey Protein Powder in ORIGINAL flavor. It smells like cake mix, and has no sugar. Very pleasant taste. So I thought the chocolate would be great too... WRONG! It was the most horrible tasting powder. So I mixed some with some almond milk and had my husband try it, and he spit it out. It actually made him feel nauseous. It has Stevia in it... and we can't stand the taste of it. If you like Stevia, you may find this ok.<br /><br />I got several of my co-workers hooked on the original flavor... so, I brought it to work to see if any of my co-workers wanted it (it's expensive and I didn't want to throw it away)... but no takers. None of them liked the taste either. So, I ended up just throwing it out. :-(<br /><br />But again, this is a GREAT product -- but in ORIGINAL flavor. No artificial sweeteners.
