Be careful.
The FDA considers "Horse Chestnut", which is one of the ingredients in Hypertrol, to be an unsafe herb. I have not researched why it's considered to be unsafe. The label does not state the amount of Horse Chestnut in this product, but it would be better if Nature's Plus removed this ingredient from their product just as a precaution. It is believed that the ingredients in this product do help to lower blood pressure, so Nature's Plus did do their homework. Of course, it is wise before taking any product, to do some on-line research to learn more about it and its ingredients. And although I did research this product prior to purchasing it, I thought about the possible side effects of taking blood pressure medications (which my Doctor wanted to put me on), and thought this might be a little safer. I did start to take Hypertrol, however, it somehow made me more sensitive to Spring and Summer allergies(such as sneezing a lot more) so I had to stop taking it. I also noticed what felt like a small lump on the inside of my nose while taking this product. It went away after I stopped taking Hypertrol. I did try to take Hypertrol again and the same thing happened to me. So I had to stop taking it. Having said what I said about Hypertrol, medications can (and often do) cause serious side effects. So it is possible the side effects from Hypertrol could be lower(perhaps, much lower)than using medication. However, we are relying on the manufacturer of a product like this, to be our Doctor, because we really don't know what the proper dosage should be in order to be beneficial to our body. I guess it's: pick your "poison" so to speak. It's true a person can have an allergic reaction to almost anything, so it's ALL a matter of trial-and-error. Thank you for reading this. I wish you luck with your blood pressure.
