My daughter is 16-months-old and Florastor Kids has been a life saver. About a month ago she was diagnosed with an ear infection and the first course of antibiotics - Amoxicillin - did nothing to clear the infection. It did, however, produce the worst diarrhea that I've ever seen (and I'm a nurse) over the course of 10 days. She was placed on Omnicef to treat her then bilateral ear infection, and the diarrhea of course ensued. I purchased these and by the second day all of her intestinal problems ceased! I would HIGHLY recommend this product for children who are taking an antibiotic or who have sensitive stomachs. I can now see why it's the best selling probiotic for children.

Be aware that this product is the same as the regular one. They added fructose which is sugar. Use the regular one instead, that is the one we use, mix it up with apple sauce or food.

I could never understand why doctors in the US prescribe antibiotics without probiotics to go with it. Where i come from we alsways take probiotics while taking any antibiotics to not destroy your gut flora. This is such a great probiotic. My 2 year old had such bad tummy issues after taking a course of strong antibiotics and florastor was a life saver. I had to give her two full packs to fix what the meds done to her little tummy. But it works like magic. Currently giving it to her again with antibiotics. It's great.

My daughter suffers from intestinal infections and multiple GI problems. Her GI doctor recommended this specific probiotic. It works great. This is the only one we will use, specifically because it addresses my daughter's issues and it comes in pediatric doses. Great product.

beware of the high fructose. My 6 year old has lyme disease and was on very strong antibiotics for 30 days. This supplement caused him to nearly bounce off the walls. You can buy non-flavored probiotics such as culturelle and add it to any drink. I have three boys and give it to all of them and they don't care its not flavored. Now they did enjoy the florastor brand but who wouldn't enjoy extra sugar in their skim milk? Why did florastor have to mess up something that is suppose to be healthy???

Every parent should have a box of this in their house if they have young kids who sometimes take antibiotics. When my son was on antibiotics and had diarrhea as a result, this stopped the diarrhea within hours. Just wait about an hour after they take the antibiotics to give them this so that the antibiotic doesn't kill this. And this also cures constipation problems. And no side effects! It's a bit pricey, but soooo worth it.
