Great vit.C

I have worked in a health food store for twenty years and I know first hand that this company is top of the line. I personally visited the company in Utah. This vitamin c is in capsule form which will absorb faster into the system. I would recommend this as an excellent antioxidant.

500mg is my favorite amount

According to the Linus Pauling Institute, the body can only absorb about 400mg of C at a time, so if you take more, you just pee it out. Taking one of these is the vitamin C equivalent of about 8 oranges. If you're a fanatic, you can take a capsule every 6 hours, because C only stays in your bloodstream that long. Capsules dissolve better than tablets also.

Every time I review a product like a vitamin people say it wasn't help

Every time I review about a product like a vitamin people say it wasn't helpful. I am under the impression people e want me to tell them that it change my life and I lost 20 pounds/develope a six pack. But on a serious note I feel more energized when I take these. I only take one a day, when I don't eat a lot of fruit just to keep my immune system up. I workout and people who are more active need more then the average person. I take them with a meal along with my fish pill, Cla, and probiotic.

There really no down side that I see. Just don't be one of those people that take over 4pills a day or 2k milligrams. If your going to take more then one, I would recommend Taking one in the morning and one at dinner. Taking to much vitamin C can cause kidney stones along with other health issues. Drink plenty of water!

Probably sourced from China

The bottle has two notices on the back label. One says "Quality Global Sourcing - Bottled & Tested in the USA." Nowhere on the bottle does it state the vitamins were made in nor sourced from the USA. Recently it's been in the news that 95% of our meds and supplements are made in or sourced from China, so I will go out on a limb and say China is where these C vitamins were sourced, then bottled in the USA.
The other label states "Bottles Made From 97% Post Consumer Recycled Plastic." The bottom of the bottle is stamped with a "2" and "HDPE" - this is what is used for bleach containers, disinfectant and shampoo bottles, so the vitamin container may have been made from the worst type of waste plastic (and probably also came from China).
These are expensive vitamins considering the cheap components. I won't swallow them. I will try to return them, but the description does mention the global sourcing, which I didn't see until after the C arrived.

Product is mislabelled.

I ordered 500 mg and bottle says 1000 mg PER SERVING - Then in small print it says 500 mg PER SERVING which they then say is 2 of the capsules. Very confusing and misleading.
