I bought this for my mom on recommendation from my uncle. He is a pharmacist and recommends it because it is much gentler than most Vitamin C supplements on the market. Most of them use ascorbic acid which is acidic and clinical studies show can cause hardening of the arteries!<br /><br />This Solgar Ester-C product is acid neutralized so it is safe to take daily and gentle on the stomach. I like how it is in capsule form instead of a tablet so it is easier to swallow. I use this product to help my immune system. I like that it is made of natural products. It seems to help keep bladder infections away for me. I take this so that I will not get the flu. Usually every winter I get a bad flu but this year for me I did not get the flu. I have been buying this at a local store but I like the convenience of having this delivered. We all could stand stronger immune systems.

I have tried almost every ester-c there is. This product is by far the best. Very gentle on the stomach,and as a capsule you get fast dissolution and absorption. Smooth and easy to swallow,and the ingredients have everything you need in a product like this

I have been looking for this product for ten years. Thought I would never find it again. It is simply the best ester c product I have found. It used to be available at Whole Foods but they quit carrying it in my area.

I've tried a bunch of different natural remedies to heal chronic eye strain that started back in Dec. '09. When the rabbit hole of Internet searching led me to vitamin C as a possible alternative to deal with the problem, I started taking this particular brand of vitamin C (recommended by my M.D. bro-in-law b/c it's easy on digestive system and bioavailable) in early 2013. Within a few weeks, I was able to stay on the computer longer, stay outside in the sun longer, reader longer! I started with 6 caps, now down to 4/day (2 grams).<br /><br />BTW I was diagnosed with Irlen Syndrome in June of 2012. If you have, too, FORGET THE GLASSES! Get on this vitamin C! Health conditions almost ALWAYS have a root cause that can be healed, if you just search long enough for the right path for you.

I purchased these thinking they were sodium ascorbate which is another form of Ester C. Turns out these are calcium ascorbate which turned out to be a good surprise. With an increase intake of Vit C, ascorbic acid was doing all kinds of funny to my digestive. Sodium ascorbate is better for this but the extra sodium was also somewhat a compromise.. then these arrive turning out to be calcium ascorbate. Not upset stomach and no added sodium to my diet, best of all taking 2G a day is easy peasy.
